High quality and very pliable
This is a great product! It’s a medium dense hardness, very soft to the feel rubber type product that’s super flexible and stretchy if needed. I would compare it to the rubber seals on a car door. Soft, flexible, long lasting. I purchased 1/2” and found that it was a little large for my application. I found that it easily cuts in half with a razor knife without rolling around etc. super stuff and highly recommended!

Dense stuff
I only gave is a three as it was much more dense than other backer rod I have used and my cracks were not even. If you have a 1/2 wid evereywhere it would be fine but it slims down to 1/4 inch you won't be able to get the backer rod in the crack.
