Having tried other similar products, these compare very well, though they are a little expensive. They are soft and comfortable and do not irritate the upper arm. They will protect my fragile skin, on the backs of my hands and wrists, from scrapes and accidental small bumps and, when worn with Marigold gloves for chores round the house, they are ideal. I can wear them all day, sometimes releasing the thumb section when doing nothing, as that can irritate a tiny bit. However, they would not protect if gardening or doing other heavier work. So for that I also have some heavyweight arm protectors, like Kevlar, which are really do protect against cuts and thorns but would be cumbersome for everyday domestic use.In general I would recommend these for lightweight protection. I have not had them very long, so how they will wear over time is something I will have to find out.

Works well in a shower, keeps the plaster dry; easier to put on and off if you have someone to help you stretch the open end
