Maui Gold Pineapple - 2 Fresh Picked Pineapples, Gift Boxed

You have not tried true pineapple until you purchase Maui gold as the saying goes it is worth its weight in gold total I have bought 6 and I plan to buy more in the future. They are absolutely sweet, addictive and leave you wanting more.

I got these for my daughter for Christmas. She said it’s the best pineapple she’s ever had very sweet.

I will order again!

As my previous attempt at a review was never posted, I'm trying again with milder language and no photo. First, credit where credit is due: my pineapples arrived two days early, so shipping on this product is clearly excellent. But the pineapples themselves were overripe and tasted of mold. Large sections were soft and dark yellow, and, near the bottom, full of brown spots. Yes, both fruits were sweet, but it wasn't the complex sweetness of fresh pineapples I've eaten in Hawaii, French Polynesia, and Southeast Asia; it was the sweetness of age and bruising.Judging by the other reviews, I obviously just got unlucky, which would have been less distressing if I had known I was gambling. I'm not unreasonable; I know produce is perishable, and merchants have no control over how their products are handled during shipping. But I think buyers should be aware that "value for money" on this product is more variable than those other reviews would suggest, so it's definitely not something to send as a gift.

Spent some time in Maui last month and had my first taste to Maui the old pineapples. I’ve eaten Dole pineapples for years, but once I tasted Maui gold, I won’t go back to Dole

It was okay, but I’ve bought pineapples in the store that tasted better.

The pineapple arrived fresh and in great condition. It was sweet, juicy, and definitely enjoyable—but to be honest, I didn’t notice a huge difference from the better pineapples I can get at my local grocery store. It’s a fun treat if you want to try something shipped from Hawaii, but for the price and shipping time, I was expecting a little more wow factor. Still, a solid product and great quality overall.
