Works fine, once you know to tighten the end of the hose quite securely!
Odd attaching this hose. You actually do have to cinch it down tightly in order for it to make a seal. Once you've done it, you know. But before that, it's quite disconcerting to have gas and its smell leaking out next to the appliance attached to the end of this perfectly good hose. Me thinks some printed documentation would help cut down on returns and help them make a better business!

A bargain--worked perfectly to replace an old hose, has one odd thing
Replaced an old hose that didn't have any kind of a gauge on it, and wasn't working anyway. I'm able to adjust the flame perfectly now and actually use less propane and get a hotter flame--all blue flame with just an occasional touch of yellow at the tips as air flows. The only thing I still find odd is this: as you'd expect, you turn it clockwise (to the right for those too young to remember what an analog clock looks like) to close it down to zero PSI and counterclockwise to reach higher PSI, however on the knob it shows that as you turn it clockwise you're actually turning it in the direction of what it labels "ON"--so I'm turning counterclockwise to open the propane tank valve --and it indicates I'm turning in the direction of "OPEN" & turning counterclockwise to "open' the PSI valve, but the valve ndicates I'm turning in the direction it calls "OFF"--which I guess means it's saying it's turning off the control that keeps it at 0 PSI! To this old brain somehow "open' and "on" would be both the same idea, but not according to this PSI valve. I'm just ignoring what it says and doing what we traditionally understand: "tighty-righty"! So either the knob or my logic is backwards! Either way it works perfectly and shuts off completely, soapy water test indicates no leaks, all is well. Stay safe everyone.

Less likely to break, gauge is added plus
I turned on my grill the other day, but it wouldn't light. Turned out the rubber hose was broken nearly in half. Best guess is grease dripped on it, and some animal chewed it.That won't happen with this: I can't imagine any animal chewing the steel braid. I could have gotten a cheaper braided one, but the gauge this one comes from solved another problem: knowing when the tank is empty. Yes, you can weigh the tank, but I don't bring a scale outside to do that, and lifting it gives only a rough idea. Two problems solved!

Works good. Got a gauge. Let you know when you empty them full.
It really works

Sturdy
I love the metal sturdiness of this hose. Thus will save me from having squirrels eating through my old rubber hoseIt worked great on a Weber grill

Not good
Didn’t work as expected. And was not a tight secure fit for me to feel comfortable actually using. Cheap material and hose had chips in it. Very unsafe.
