I don’t pretend to understand how this works but it does. I needed to charge my laptop in the car, this does the job perfectly. Pretty much silent, haven’t noticed it getting hot (my laptop charger is only 65w though).If I was being really picky I’d put the socket the other way up so it can sit flat and put more space between the sockets as when I plug my laptop charger in it slightly obscures one of the USB ports but that is me being super critical.Overall a great bit of kit.

Delivered ahead of time as usual by Amazon, in perfect condition too. The power inverter has a lead that plugs directly into your cigarette lighter and a separate lead to clip onto your battery. The only switch is to turn it on. It works on items such as laptops straight out of the box couldn't be simpler. Is very small and light weight and the noise from the fan is not distracting at all. Having had a chance to use it for long yet so I cannot comment on reliability but it seems solidly built so should last a long time. Excellent value for money and does the job so highly recommended.

I haven't stress tested the inverter yet, but so far it works well for my main use of powering a laptop. I was expecting two USB A ports but instead there was one USB A and one USB C port, which was a nice surprise. The USB C Power Delivery gave 25W at around 10V and the ~230V AC socket worked fine too at around 60W. The waveform is a a 'modified sine wave' which means it's a square wave with some zero crossings stretched out (see picture) -- fine for my usage. The metal enclosure seems solid enough and I was glad to discover a small on/off rocker switch that I didn't see in the photos either.

Plugging in any of my AC electrical devices make them buzz and have an awful whine. Things fail to turn on fully, so it's practically useless. It can't even run a computer monitor which draws 45w. Even if it only ran at half it's rating it should still handle my Monitor... But it couldn't even do 1/3rd of that... Awful

This is an absolute game changer and masterpiece. I have not used it long term or over any journey over 1 hour so can’t speak about using over a longer term. However, it made a world of difference charging my tablet and going to meetings. I love it so much. I am going to purchase another.
