I bought this desk to use as a jewellery work bench. I was a little nervous that it wouldn’t be sturdy enough but it’s actually really solid. I chose to the one piece top because I believed that would be more solid and would also allow me to make a cut out for my bench peg. Unlike some, this is a solid chipboard top and not hollow like many of the desks on here. It’s not the thickest top by any means but it’s adequate for a desk of this size. I have reinforced the cut out by screwing any gluing a solid timber to the desktop and frame to give a solid surface to hammer against and strengthen the bench peg against twisting. This wasn’t strictly necessary but a jewellery bench takes a lot more abuse than a desk.The motor seems strong and adjusts the height quickly. Having two memory settings is really useful too. The height readout is surprisingly accurate too.Assembly is straightforward if you’ve ever built anything self assembly previously. The instructions are clear and concise. BE AWARE that you will assemble this upside down so you might need someone to help lift it, though it’s not that difficult to do solo. You will also need to ensure you have sufficient room to turn it over.IMPORTANT!!! The top is not shipped with the frame and comes separately via a different courier. My top arrived the day after the frame. As there’s no information about this in the description I did contact the seller who clarified this reasonably quickly, it’s definitely something they could improve by updating the description to include this. That’s the only negative feedback I have though and as they did clarify the fact quickly I’m happy to give 5 stars.

Best benefit of this desk versus other brands and alternatives, is that for the size (1200 x 600), it has a single piece top, not 2 x spliced boards where you can see the join. Its a small thing, but gives it a much better quality feel and appearanceI found the instructions easy to follow, took me about an hour with a beer and it worked first time with no hassle. I'm 6ft 4 and at max height it's perfect. Very stable and the materials for the base are solid and have a nice finish.Overall, very pleased. Just be aware that it comes in 2 x boxes and sent by different couriers so may not arrive at the same time. My top came on the Mon or Tues and the base came Thurs.

I'd been thinking about getting a sitting/standing desk for some time, and chose this one based on positive reviews and a great price.It's a little higher at its lowest position than I'd expected, once the wheels are attached. Perhaps I should've kept the flat plastic casters on instead, but I did want to be able to move it around for cleaning.Be aware that the desktop and the fittings arrive separately - but only one of the deliveries had a tracking number and notifications. The heavy box with the fittings arrived when I was out and the courier put it over my back fence, I had no idea it was there and it was sitting in the rain! Luckily it was double boxed so the rain hadn't got into the contents.It was all packaged very well with easy to follow instructions to put it together. Overall it took about 2 hours for me to assemble myself, and it feels sturdy and good quality. The operation instructions could do with a bit more detail but I was able to set my 2 ideal heights easily. The transition between them is smooth and not noisy. Overall I'm pleased with it, it looks great in my home office and feels like it's built to last.

Very happy, I saw some other reviews saying theirs didn't have the usb slot and I wasn't sure about the wood finish but I was really pleasantly surprised. Feels super sturdy, I've got two monitors on an arm clamped to it and there's no give. Works well rising and lowering, and the wood finish is surprisingly nice. Really happy with mine, for the £100 I paid I'm really happy. Mine has the usb slot too on the controls so great for phone charging. Would definitely recommend.
