Excellent - easy set up - works very well.
Wasn’t sure if it would work without an EE account- but actually no problem. Easy set up and log in to existing Now and Netflix accounts. Would recommend.

In the market for a freeview-type box? Check out this little beauty!
This is an excellent YouView box. It is fast, has a slick user interface and can handle 4K if you've got Sky, BT or Netflix. PLEASE NOTE - you do not need to be using BT for anything in order to use this box. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is the cumbersome layout of the remote control which can be a bit tricky in the dark. I can live with that! Get one.

Small, easy to set up. Lots of ethernet progs to view.
After a large increase in digital telly prices. I decided to cancel as I only want to watch my own choices the BT box records 4 programs at the same time, & will store hundreds. Picture quality is superb. Lots of programs on the Ethernet to stream including games. I've had mine for 12mths & still not watched all I've recorded. Great value for money. I RECOMMEND.👍

works well to give FreeView and recording,
I have been using BT box, which I think is actually a humax, for over a decade- this one replaced my old one which was beginning to creak a bit. Main complaint would be you can only record two channels, at a time, and this precludes you from watching athird channel. But quite honestly, I like the simplicity of this box and its reliability so much that I am happy to live with this constraint. It was delivered in double quick time which was a big plus as well. It is plug and play, alathough there are a number of user choices you can make withing the settings- once you find them. its worth five stars for reliabiliy and ease of operation. and plug and play (well almost).

Mind-boggling, deal-breaking omissions
As rare as it happens, this box ticked most, if not all the boxes that I was searching for:-Recieves aerial transmission - tick!-Clear, crisp picture - tick!-Quick and easy interface - Almost tick!-Ability to record a channel and view a different channel simultaneously - tick!-Reasonably priced (£130) - tick!So why only a one star review? Of course the box has a number of incredible, excruciating omissions.Firstly, the remote does not have a Recall button to flick back and forth between two channels. TV sets in the 90s had this feature. This is a bizarre and unforgivable omission in itself. Also, I could bang my head off the wall at how poorly designed the remote layout is. The navigation arrows, the most used on any remote, are impossible to distinguish by touch. You have to look down at the remote to use them because the "Info" "Back", volume and program up-down buttons are in such close proximity that you always end up pressing one of these by mistake. The channel management settings are horrendously scant. It only gives you one option: the option to "hide" channels and this doesn't even work properly. There are garbage channels tuned in between all the good channels so the option to either hide these or rearrange all the desirable channels to the top is a crucial option that is bizarrely not included in the software! (I have looked up forums showing countless people crying out for this solution as far back as 2012 but they have still neglected to include it!) Trying to find the channel you want is an exhausting endeavor as everything is jumbled all over the place! And even the act of finding the desired channel is painful. Like many cheap boxes, they seem to have programmed in a stupid obligatory split second delay/animation lag from the time you press the button on the remote to the input occurring on screen. It seems the sole purpose for this is to annoy the user, can't think of any good reason for these lags or flashy animations.I am more angry at this box than a lot of cheaper boxes I have purchased in the past for the basic, fundamental features they neglected to put in.

Cut the contract - buy the box and enjoy amazing media
I bought this used on Amazon to replace a Virgin Media bos. It is infinitely better and the apps such as iplayer, itv hub and Netflix work really well. The remote is a tiny bit fiddly and you do need to but some cheap network mains plugs to 'hard wire the box' via your mains plugs to the router- its really simple. Don't hesitate this is a bargain and frees you from the never ending contacts of Sky, Virgin and BT etc. The hard disc is enormous plus the iPhone app is really clever. You can look at what's on whilst traveling home, set the record options to record series or individual programmes etc. And this version is future proof to 4K. Currently I watch in 'steam powered HD' and it still looks amazing. It's a very small neat box with funky leds to show one or two channels recording ( blue - watching, red- recording). Summary- the best value, contract cutting device you can buy for your home!

A couple of concerns but great box
I really like the Youview box but I have 2 little concerns the remote arrow key to the right doesn't work very well it take a few pushes before it works. The 2nd concern is the zoom it seems to zoom on its own and then doesn't go back to normal screen. I had to turn off my box from the button behind the box which then went back to normal. Apart from that it is a great box, this is my second box and I really like the ease of it to assemble and work. Would recommend tho
