Use Windows PC with Apple Studio Display
I got this so I could plug my gaming computer (Windows PC) to my Apple Studio Display. It works prefectly! I can utilize the webcam, as well as the speakers. Additionally, all peripherals I plug into the monitor (like the 2.4ghz dongles to my wireless keyboard and wireless mouse), work on the PC as well.

UPDATED REVIEW: Works with PS5 and ASUS Portable USB Monitor but gets HOT!
UPDATE: The cable performed well on my travels and was able to play PS5 games for many hours. Just don’t touch the cable as it DOES GET HOT! I’m changing my review from 3 Stars to 4 as I’m somewhat satisfied with my purchase.OLD REVIEW: I like the cable as it works with my PS5 and ASUS USB monitor. I will be using it for travel but I don't know how long it will last. I tested the cable by playing a few games on my PS5 and when I was done, I disconnected the cable's HDMI end and felt that it was REALLY HOT. I don't know how long this cable will last me with that amount of heat.

Niche product FAILS HARD
It was covered in the first line of the product description: this device only works when DIRECTLY connected to a display - so it didn't work for me. This cable otherwise would have made my HP fully compatible with my Sabrent KVM, except for the confusing "The product must directly connect to the signal source and the display, and you cannot pass any transiter" which turned out to be true. If I were to rate this cable for its listed capabilities, it would pass, but that's not why I bought it. If it weren't for the ridiculous shortcoming of not being able to connect through a type-c KVM, then I would keep it, because it actually worked otherwise - and pretty well.I have a Mac Mini M1, an HP Z2 Mini G5 workstation and a Sabrent type-c KVM, plugged into a Dell U4320Q display. For some reason I found myself as part of some kind of fringe movement that wants to use a Mac some of the time and a PC some of the time, and want to switch between the two easily and quickly; the geniuses at HP decided to make NONE of the type-c ports DP-ALT MODE, so began my adventure to try to connect two computers to a display with the World's worst input switching.I just want to tap a SINGLE button, and have the mouse dongle travel with the video. Apparently this is asking a lot, because it seems like I can have one of two things: 1) full compatibility, or 2) native speed and resolution - and all while it takes over ten seconds and several button presses to switch inputs.I don't know why this cable can't connect through a KVM, but if it could then it would be life-changing.

Great for AR glasses!
I bought this cord to allow my PC to transmit data and power toy AR glasses. These work exactly as intended. The picture and sound transmit exactly as they should. The cable is made of very high quality and definitely worth the price I paid. With this cable battery life is no longer a concern as they will charge while I am using them. The only thing I can think of that would be better would be a little more flexibility in the cable.

Works perfectly for Xreal Air 2 Pro
I bought it for use with the Xreal Air 2 Pro. It works great for that and I am very happy with it.For some potential buyers, it's important to know, however, that while it also works with the Beam accessory it does not charge the Beam while in use.

FINALLY - a cable that works for my portable monitor!
Did you know that pretty much all HDMI to HDMI cables are bidirectional (ie; doesn't matter which side you plug into the source vs. destination), but nearly all HDMI->USB-C cables are unidirectional (ie; one end is for the source of the video, while the other is for the destination/display)? It turns out that USB-C to HDMI cables are common, but HDMI to USB-C is not. That is because most monitors have HDMI as an input, not USB-C, so the cables are meant to have the USB-C end plugged in the PC (source) and the HDMI end plugged into the monitor (Destination/Display). Portable monitors, on the other hand, often just have USB-C ports for power and input, and no HDMI ports. In my case, my laptop only has one USB-C thunderbolt port, which I need for a hub to plug all of my other peripheral devices in (thumb drive, ring light, webcam, external speaker, etc.). Therefore, I could only use the HDMI port on either my hub or my laptop to attach my portable monitor. This requires either a bidirectional HDMI<->UCB-C cable, or a unidirectional "HDMI to USB-C", which is the opposite of most cables on the marketplace. This is the FIRST cable that actually WORKS with my portable monitor ((HDMI to USB-C). I admittedly initially purchased a few USB-C to HDMI cables, as I did not know about the unidirectional issue with these cables. Those initial cables obviously did not work, but not due to any fault in the cable itself, as they were meant to work in the opposite direction that I needed. However, since then I purchased SIX (6) other cables that were clearly listed as "HDMI to USB-C", and this one is the ONLY one of those 6 that worked! I tested this cable with a direct connection to my laptop, as well as through the HDMI port on my USB-C hub. Surprisingly both work just fine (many HDMI to USB-C cables have a disclaimer that they won't work through a hub). However, I must say that my USB hub gets REALLY hot when going through that way, so I wouldn't recommend using it through a hub unless the hub is designed to handle it. In my case, I plan to use it plugged directly into my HDMI port, so that won't be an issue.
