Super fun and great for someone with a job, or kids!
Really fun Tamagotchi! It let's you put the caretaking on pause if you need to work a long shift, and the ability to download things or get free in game items every now and then just by connecting to wifi is amazing! There IS 2 free DLC areas you can unlock via the website right now, Very Berry Land and Tamagotchi Lab. Highly suggest getting them, but be aware you can only use one at a time. Comes with a watch band so you can walk the tama, and can charge with a modern charger! Battery lasts a good while but it doesnt take too long to charge if you just leave it plugged in overnight. Might want a screen protector just in case you drop it. Audio is actually slightly more... echoey than the Pix in my opinion, but I still love it!

Nostalgia with a twist
My favorite Tamagotchi. I like that I can charge it so I don't have to change batteries and the Tamas are really cute. The nanny is super helpful too.

My favorite tamagotchi yet!
The media could not be loaded. Just a warning, this will be kind of a long review. I grew up with tamagotchi and have had the original tamagotchi, connection v2, pix, and now the uni. I absolutely love the uni. The blue one is my favorite design of the 3 currently available. I love that the uni is not as bulky as a lot of the color tamas, it feels very similar to the ones from the connections series. The buttons are hard plastic and work very well (Yay no more touch screen buttons!) The clear plastic shell on the back is really cool. The idea of wearing it as a watch is cool, but it's still a bit bulky to wear on the wrist and I already have a smart watch that I wear daily so I just don't wear the uni this way. But of course it's just as easy to put a case on it and clip it on a lanyard. One of the features that I'm SO excited about is the fact that the uni is rechargeable!! I'm so happy that I don't have the change the batteries on this thing. I hated having to change the batteries every week on my tamagotchi pix. The battery on the uni lasts all day, I usually charge it for a little bit each evening just to keep it close to fully charged. The wifi capability on the uni is another cool feature. I like that there are updates and downloads for free items. Also, the tamaverse is pretty neat. They're currently working on expanding it so I'm excited to see what they add. I like to send my tama on tours. The online events are pretty cool too. It helps keep things fresh and give the player more to come back and do.I'm also loving the amount of customization. I found it annoying that on the pix, there were so many things that your tama couldn't wear until they were an adult. With the uni, your tama can wear more of the accessories as soon as they're no longer a baby (couple things like aura items they can't wear until adulthood, but overall more accessories are available earlier). They can also wear like 4 things at once so it gives you the ability to give them a really specific look and make it your own. I also love that an item can be placed in their living room in addition to the furniture so your tama can interact with it when they want.Things I dislike: I'm already seeing a lack of storage space for all the accessories. There's SO many things to get but not nearly enough space to store it all.I also wish there were more games at the arcade, or that they alternated what games were available each day. Having the same 3 games every single day does get old. While the tama walk feature is cool, I find that it often thinks I'm not walking when I actually am. I have to hold it in my hand and shake it or keep checking on it to make sure my tama isn't just wandering randomly.

LOVE! amazing first tama experience
i'm 23 and have never had a tamagotchi before. from my understanding there are definitely tamas out there with more complex gameplay, but this one has been an amazing starter for me to ease into raising tamagotchi. it's turned me into a huge fan!the fact that it charges instead of needing batteries makes it more accessible imo. i would say it needs charged maybe every 2 or so days? be sure to use the included cable and don't overcharge it as there's a possibility it could damage the battery, and make it lose charge faster. or if you lose the included cable, at least avoid fast charging cables if possible.i wish there were a bit more minigames on it. some of the games are seasonal, so you have 2 consistent games, 1 game that changes depending on the season, and if you have DLC (angel festival comes with a DLC code and there's a free one available on the website), you can play the minigame from ONE DLC at a time. if you switch out DLC content, it erases content from the last DLC you were using.the shell is beautiful. i love the size. it's smaller so it can function as a watch, but i really enjoy it. definitely get a screen protector, these LCD screens tend to scratch. make sure you buy the correct size protector!i've been playing for nearly 2 months now. it's definitely a bit more of a consistent background game, it probably won't engross you for hours on end unless you're grinding for more in game currency to buy expensive outfits. but i'm okay with that! i have a fun time looking at the animations and checking how my tama is doing.if you have the money, i'd say try out a uni. i'm thankful that i got the angel festival one, it's absolutely gorgeous.
