40" Inches Damascus Steel Claymore Sword/Highlands Scottish Sword with Leather Sheath

All I can say is that the sword is awesome from the quality of the materials used in making the blade, handle and sheath even; there’s nothing to truly negative about it. The sword does have a true functional sharp edge that’s on par with renown blade makers like Honshu and Cold Steel for those in the know. For the fraction of the cost of a premium made Claymore like from a Renaissance Faire bladesmith or premium dealer like Cas Iberia that easily go over $400 and sometimes easily $800 or more; this sword will provide what you want and need from a claymore or similar type built sword. It has been a secondary bucket list item I wanted for some time and it fulfilled that wish and glad that I went ahead and bought it.If there’s one piece of advice or warning for those wanting to purchase this sword; be forewarned it’s about 75% the size and length of a typical claymore sword and I can honestly say that it should be considered a small claymore. Yet it has enough size and length for most people; as the length of most claymores are seemingly built for those who are near NBA player tall and over 6 Feet plus.

Just got mine, and I am impressed by the craftmanship from scabbard/sheath to the actual blade. It is a masterpiece and well made. Other than issues with delivery - and mostly due to DHL - this arrived in time and made my week.

Update:The seller sent a replacement. The new sword is not identical but actually is a better quality sword. My grandson is thrilled with the new sword. I am also updating photos. The new sword has the gemstone.Original review: Received this sword warped and with a crack. See photos. Not only is this weapon sharp to the touch, but quite sharp to look at. Very nice Damascus pattern.

its pretty decent for the price tag but i have some complaints. It’s 3 inches shorter than the description says it is, and that’s not a super big problem but it’s already not long enough to be classified as a claymore sword so that’s false advertising. It’s more of a bastard sword than a claymore. for the price tag it’s ok but the blade does come a little loose after only a little bit of swinging it around. It is pretty sharp so there’s that but all around it’s pretty mediocre. Still a safe thing to buy, just don’t be hitting things with it too hard

Great quality, beautiful design with a heavy feel. Sword came in sharp and wrapped greatly to be secure. I was more than excited when getting this product and found it even better than i was expecting!!!
