Perfect for gaming
For the price, this is an excellent widescreen monitor. One of the reasons I chose it was the stand design—it looks so much better on my desk compared to the typical V-shaped stands you see on other monitors. The refresh rate is fantastic, and I notice zero input lag. The colors are vibrant, and there's very little ghosting. With its small bezels, it's the perfect addition to my gaming setup

A great gaming monitor with a proper high quality stand
This is great gaming monitor from a trusted brand. The high image quality combined with the very fast refresh rate and response time mean I haven't experienced any lag, tearing or strange artifacts when gaming - be that in FPS or combat flight sims. Also, the fact that the monitor offers 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 colour gamut means that it works well for things like photo editing and general office tasks. In addition, unlike some monitors that come with minimal stands, the HP Omen comes with a high quality stand allowing full height adjustment, good tilt and swivel angles and pivoting from landscape to portrait mode (with auto image rotation), so I've had no problem getting it set up for comfortable viewing.I'm not too keen on the use of a 5-way joystick control for display adjustment, but this seems to be a common approach used by several other manufacturers so it's not really a negative. One thing to be aware of, however, is that the Omen supports AMD Freesync Premium but not Nvidia G-sync. This is fine by me as I have an AMD GPU but for Nvidia GPU users I suppose it might be an issue.

Gaming
After a year of use from upgrading from a 60hz 12 year old acer monitor, I'm happy to say that this monitor is great for the price I've never had any issues like ghosting or dead pixels, the adaptive sync function is great, never had any screen tearing when doing more than triple the refresh rate in framerate, has a very good response time for competitive games like counter strike and has nice image quality.

The curvature of the screen provides an immersive viewing experience that envelops you, reducing the need to strain your neck and eyes during long hours of work.High Refresh Rate and Smooth Performance: Although a 165Hz refresh rate is typically touted for gaming, it also makes a noticeable difference in the smoothness of everyday applications and video playback. With AMD FreeSync Premium, I enjoy seamless transitions with no lag or screen tearing, even during high-speed video editing or design work.Ergonomic Design for Comfort: The adjustable tilt and height settings are crucial for maintaining a comfortable posture throughout the day. Excellent quality for the price.
The 34" model has a good quality screen with no dead pixels or discolouration. When using it as a workstation monitor the large screen running at 3440 x 1440 gives ample room for multiple documents / web browsers simultaneously. Previously had two smaller monitors and the change to one large screen without a separation between monitors makes a bigger difference than you would realise. When using it to play games (connected to a RTX 3060 via a display port connector) it works really well, nice smooth graphics with no ghosting or colour distortion. Good contrast between dark / light areas and smooth refresh rate. Can definitely recommend for the price.

Not worth the money. Bad colours and low brightness.
Although the monitor looks amazing, the display does not unfortunately. I currently have a Asus Rog Strix XG27UQ whci on paper is "almost" identical to this HP Omen 27k 4k. Despite the HP monitor having more colour range than the Asus monitor, the colors looked terrible, like it had a gray layer and the brightness was even worse. The Asus monitor is a lot older than this monitor and yet HP has managed to deliver a product that is much worse than even their adventisement. Even my 2017 HP Envy laptop had better brightness and colours. The stand was OK. The only problem was that it didn't twise left and right which most monitors do, but it wasn't a major issue, although it would have been nice to have.Overall, the design is good but the display was not worth the money. Returned it after having a call with HP to get some assistance to setup the monitor. I was hoping that I might have missed a setting which could solve my issues but nah, they said that's just how the monitor is.
