Versatile, High Quality Product. Never run with scissors! (Read about it)
Upon removing the product from the large, soft-padded shipping envelope, I noted that it was folded and not in a roll as shown in the listing. Laying the product flat and letting it relax will make most of the folds go away. It is very easy to work with and can be easily cut or trimmed with a sharp knife or scissors. (for those reading this that might be under 10 years old, go ask your mama before using sharp objects... and never, ever run with scissors.)Where was I at? Oh, yeah... There will be a notable reduction in heat when this material is trimmed and fitted for windows. As a bonus, due to the materials used in it's construction, it keeps light out too so, for the day sleepers, it's a dream come true! Generous size (4' X 10') allows for just about any window sizes. It comes with a lot of Velcro sticky pads as well to complete installation(s). Nice buy at a very reasonable cost. Recommended to all!

Makes a huge difference in summer heat!
In the desert it can get up to 115 in the summer. Having a big slider window on the side where the sun beats it all day makes it hard for the AC to keep it cool. Putting this up in the window has made a huge difference. Yes, you loose out on the light, but to me it’s a willing sacrifice. This came with its own adhesive too, which makes putting it up easier if you don’t have your own. It’s also very easy to cut so you can customize it to your window size. As far as how well it works reducing the heat… literally night and day! I can no longer feel the heat that radiated from the window before. I cut a couple “peek holes” so we can look outside and opening them you can instantly feel how hot the window actually is, but on this side it’s room temperature. Very good investment!

Great product keeps out the heat.
I bought this to help keep the sun and heat out of our front room. Our house faces full west and it gets so hot in the summer. The outside temps get well over 100 degrees where I live. I bought this to go on our front room living room window and it cut down the heat so much our AC would run constantly from noon on during the day. Now it starts running from about 4 PM till about 9 pm when the sun goes down so it significantly helped our AC unit so that it would run all day. I am going to put it up again this year and i am happy i bought them. One thing if you buy these and life in an hot place like i do make sure you cover your windows only i made the mistake and covered the window sill (where the track is) and it warped it cause it got so hot so just be sure to cover glass part on the windows only.

Full of creases (product is folded not rolled)
We bought this to insulate our vehicle windows for "camping" sleeping in the back in below freezing temps. Unfortunately, this product is not shipped in a roll like the photo shows. Instead it was folded into a small bundle which meant there were creases every 12-18 inches or so. This meant it did not lay flat against our windows and we had to cut it extremely precisely and tape around the edges to get it to stay and insulate well. This made for a very long and tedious process. The insulation itself is fine - a bit thinner and less stiff than I was expecting but still insulated well enough to sleep in our car below freezing as long as we used some tape around the edges. One part of the windshield pulled away during the night when the tape fell and that was the only part of any of the windows that was frosted in the morning (~27 degrees).

Works very well
I have two windows with broken seals that face west. I live in Florida and the sun beats on these windows all afternoon. This product really works well keeping the heat out. Made a big difference in the room
