One important piece of upgrading Surface Pro hard drive
The top-of-the-line Microsoft Surface Pro only offers a maximum of 1TB of storage.I followed some online instructions to:1. Back up the Windows 11 operating system to a bootable 32GB USB thumb drive.2. Open the back and pop out the old 1TB SSD.3. Insert a new 2TB 2230 NVME SSD that I bought online.4. Carefully attach this heat sink.5. Boot up and "restore" Windows 11 from the 32GB USB thumb drive.(Note that any personal files on the drive had to be saved and restored separately.)It worked great - I ran benchmarks and not only did it increase my disk capacity, but the disk performance was faster.Even under heavy gaming use, this heat sink seems to nicely protect the tiny SSD from overheating.

Works and keepes it cool.
I updated my SP11 with a bigger and faster SSD. When I did, I wanted a heatsink that would work for this and fit. THis one works perfectly. No overheating issues, runs great and seems to do a good job of keeping the SSD from overheating during a lot of working.

Great product
I bought this item along with a WD Black 2TB SSD for my new Steam Deck. This came very quickly and with nearly everything needed to install. I say nearly everything because mine did not come with instructions in the package. Not a major problem because I came back to the product page and looked at the photos, where the instructions and visuals are. Overall, my Steam Deck has been running perfectly and so far I haven't noticed any heat.I highly recommend this item!

Does not fit in Steam Deck
First of all here are the things I did in order to get this to "fit"1. Removed SSD from slot.2. Removed SSD sleeve that came with the stock unit. to get more space.3. Reinstalled SSD into slot with heatsync.4. Closed the unit as best as I could, was buldging.5. Took the SSD out again and noticied the headsync was slightly slotted to slide onto an SSD, just not the steam decks.6. As a last resort I bend the heatsync so it was slightly wider and it was flush with the top of the SSD7. Still bulging and then a major issue occured during testing. The major problem with this heatsync is it makes the unit buldge. Since the unit is bulging that means the flexible metal cover that protects a good chunk of the board, including where the SSD is, gets bent out of shape. This piece of flexible metal is conductive. It is suppose to be in contact with various metal zig-zag springs around the board to act as a ground. The area where the SSD resides has one of those springs. That spring does not touch the flexible metal cover any longer and was causing various issues with the deck. If I slightly twisted the device, it crashed. If I set the device down to hard, it crashed. If I gripped the device slightly too hard it would crash. If one of the ground springs flips states (touching to not touching and vice-versa) on the flexable metal cover, it causes a system crash and can break it.DO NOT USE THIS ON A STEAM DECK!!!

All-in-one kit for an easy install
Really like this kit. Perfect sized screwdriver, plenty of spare parts, and the copper heatsink keeps you from having to peel off the foil from your original SSD (which is very difficult) and very likely works better. Made the install a breeze.
