This is a really nice laser measurement device. It's accurate and small. The buttons are easy to figure out but the instructions help at a glance. You can cycle through the different units by long pressing the origin button. That's the button that determines if you are measuring from the start of the laser or the base of the device. I usually use the base. There's an icon that shows it. Most of this is in the product details so I'm not sure how other reviewers missed this bit. You can measure 5'1", 61 inches, 5.12 feet, or 1.43 meters. It's something like that at least with correct numbers.Two AAA batteries are included and last for ages.

The Good: Easy to use after a short learning curve. Batteries included! Makes measuring interiors a breeze.The Bad: The batteries included are cheap, but enough to prove the device works. It's fun to play with so you have to hide it from co-workers.Overall: I work on a military base in the Middle East. I had to create an accurate building diagram to include power/comm outlets. The problem was though the building was basically a square, the interior walls differed in thickness. So I couldn't just measure the door jambs. I got it done, but this device would have made it so much easier. I did go back and confirm my measurements and I was (mostly) correct. Next time I'll be ready. Recommend.

I am not a carpenter but I do a lot of projects that do require quick measures. I have found this digital tape measure to be super convenient and easy to use. It is small and easy to store away, it can fit in the palm of your hand. It came with easy to follow instruction and I mainly just use to functions, on/off and a button to press for a measurement readout. In this picture provided, I pressed the button, the red laser hit an object on my kitchen counter top which measured 4.596 ft away. That is precision I could never get from a standard tape measure. Where this device is most helpful is with long distance measurements such as a large rooms. I also used it to measure a pool width and length for a pool cover. I love this little digital tape measure and have been very pleased with its function and ease of use.

I'm so delighted to finally have a laser measurement device! I'm an interior designer, plus trying to decorate my own new apartment, and it's such a pleasure to no longer have to stoop and crawl along the floor. It seems like it's accurate, but I haven't been able to get my tape measures out of storage since my move to double check it. I love that it's accurate to 1/16", which is what I need, and that it will display both feet and inches, and not just a decimal for the latter.This is a very basic model, and I already know I want a more advanced one with more features, but this will certainly do the trick for now.

Works great, reliable and accurate. If you've used a laser tape measure before than this will be no problem. If you're new to them there is a slight learning curve but its mostly just figuring out what to use for your mark points.Easy to read. Have used it several times as its often easier than grabbing a traditional tape measure

I have needed a good way to measure rooms and longer distances that a tape measure is hard to hold the end at. This devices was easy to install the batteries and use. Very intuitive!!! I measured a few things and then compared them with my trusty tape measure and it was right on. I wish it gave feet and inches instead of decimal length of a foot (ie .5 of a foot or 6 inches to us all). Other than that, works great and I’ll use it all the time. Great value to me.

I put the batteries in this and read the directions but it still won't turn on for some reason..
