Surprisingly surprised!
First off , the sheath is almost worth the price of the whole package, 25 dollars at the time of writing this . I bought this because I was interested in the esee 2.5 and don't have anywhere close to me that carries it in stock. I wanted to get it in my hands before I coughed up the 100 or so dollars . I watched several videos of the 2.5 and looked at a few photos and it just looked really small , and the handle looked oddly shaped to me. Then I came across this knife for 25 bucks. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but a similarly sized and shaped esee 2.5 clone made for peanuts and slapped together haphazardly and shipped out the door to whatever poor sap would bite on the advertised price. ( me )I was wrong.I have spent a lot more money on a lot , and I mean a lot worse blades. Not even counting the sheath, which can be a crap shoot for even some bigger knife companies. For the price I paid for this knife I am exceedingly satisfied . It was shaving sharp out of the box , the blade grind looked even to me , the blade finish was uniform. No burrs or rough spots on anything. The handle scales were microscopically uneven in the finger groove area but that's really grasping to find a flaw on my part. I'm very particular about some things and it's so slight as to be virtually unnoticeable. The handle shape just sinks into my hand like it melted there and the blade length is pretty perfect for all around use. The sheath is very well formed and finished , with a drain hole, and provides really good retention. I swapped out the belt clip for an ulticlip which fit perfectly, and it's good to go. It's got a good weight to it , light in the pocket but not too heavy. A perfect EDC pocket fixed blade. I still plan on buying the esee but it will just be a little later on. Not gonna lie , I'm feeling a little guilty right now for liking this knife so much and also not spending the extra for a made in America product that I could have just returned if I wasn't satisfied with it. Eh , I'll just buy 2 esee's next , problem solved 👍

Affordable edc option
Initially had issue with sheath retention but seller resolved issue which was nice. Seller said they redesigned the sheath so maybe the new ones are better. This knife is actually a good bargain. I've edc'd this every day for about 3 months under hard use conditions (i work in heavy construction) and these are my findings:The Pros:Ergos are pretty nice. I have XXL hands and have plenty of grip space on the handle. It's a tad long for edc horizontal carry but I make it work. I've been most impressed with the DC53 steel. It's my first experience with this steel and I'm already a fan. Great toughness and edge retention. It came stupid sharp out of the box and it's very slicey. I was concerned about chipping or the tip snapping off with it's flat grind but I beat the snot out of this thing and have had zero issues. My last beater knife was D2 and DC53 puts it to shame. D2 has lousy toughness and very prone to chipping, this is a far better budget steel option. While I had an issue with retention on my first sheath, its great to see it's a fold over taco style. Why more knife companies don't use this style is beyond me. I took the bulky tek lock style clip off and used soft loops which is my preferred way of carry. The cons:It's not stainless and has a strange staining appearance. It doesn't patina like your typical carbon steels like 1095, more like a milky residue that doesn't come off. Also, while the jimping texture is fantastic (some of the best ive seen), its really only functional if your hands are the size of a hamster's. Very little contact space for the tip of your finger/thumb. Would like to see longer tracks of jimping for it to be more functional. Maybe one long track vs 2 tiny ones would have served it better.Overall, for a knife under 30 bucks, I do recommend giving it a try.

Big bang for buck!
Slim edc fixed blade. Excellent value. Not perfect, the fit could be better, but a banger for the $. It looks like a nice paring knife but it is well suited for a fixed EDC. Works well in most grips. The taco kydex sheath and belt clip is perfect for me. I don't leave home without it.

Nice fixed edc for the price
I grabbed this one in carbon fiber the knife came very sharp the ergonomics feel great in hand. Fit and finish was actually really good I was impressed carbon fiber is sometimes slick feeling but this lil fixed blade feels really good to me for the price. The sheath is good quality especially for the price range it has a positive click when you send the blade home. It allows for good retention you don't have to yank the hell of it to deploy the blade to me it's about right. The clip works well and is secure on the belt it's the click on "tek lock" style i honestly would not sleep on this knife for the money it's a nice knife in its weight class

Really impressive for what it is.
Great steel, DC53, and great craftsmanship here. I got the one with the carbon fiber handle and it is really nice. I wouldn't go out bush crafting with it and certainly no batonning with it, but for a pairing or a small craftsman knife, even a skinning knife it would be perfect. I has rounded off edges on the back of the blade and all around the scales, like I've seen on Elmax steel blades costing a fortune; ie. like the Olive Arbor and some Lionsteel blades. Jimping in two spots on the backbone a very nice choil to prevent your finger from slipping onto the blade. Even the sheath has a great thumb push-off and a drainage hole on the inside only. The belt clip doesn't have a slide lock but I doubt I'll be carrying this one. It will be for food prep and skinning. I'd be willing to bet if you found this knife in a cutlery store on the shelf, it would have a price tag of 2-3 times more than $40. And after holding it, you'd probably pay that price for it. It's razor sharp as well and a full grind on the blade. It really feels like a high quality knife! Very impressed with it.
