Vincos Oil Catch Can
I put the Vincos oil catch can on my 2012 Camaro SS and it works great and protects my engine. Looks great and easy to install.

Effective at reducing or eliminating oil consumption
Really did the job. I installed this on a 2009 Lexus IS250 2.5L engine which is known for carbon buildup on the intake valves. After driving only about 200 miles I noticed it caught about 1oz of oil. The oil was black and destined to coat and solidify on the valves. I added the steel wool filter after and it does help trap even more oil. Highly recommend this to any car with direct injection to prevent carbon buildup. I wish this had a clear catch cup so it would be easier to see the accumulated oil. I empty the oil in this weekly but I think I'll switch to every two weeks.

Working with vendor to resolve issues
Recieved original item as used when purchased new.Update: Vendor reached out and is trying to help resolve the issue.Amazon sometimes re-send things to another customer when they are returned as un-opened. This shouldn't reflect the product. The vendor contacted me first before I could ask for an exchange.Update:After replacing used items with new, spent less than $5, For amazons mistake. The catch can is well built. There is an O-ring sealing the catch basin from the mount. This distinguishes it from the competition. Others leak tiny amounts of oil and collect dust. This one seals well and nothing escapes.Installed on 2019 Chevy Colorado, ZR2 diesel.Catch can is collecting oil before it re-enters the engine. Will help tremendously for the longevity of the engine. Total time used, 150 miles. Can not review the hoses as I had to purchase additional.Multiple fitting sizes included in the kit, you can even use different sizes on intake and discharge.Overall an excelent alternative to the expensive units. Will try to update after it collects some measurable substances, so far it has only collected enough to make paper towels dirty.

Shot in the dark!
This unit is very well built, even with the necessary de-burring of the inside holes. I used this on my lawn tractor as a lot of oil was escaping from the crankcase breather system. It would flood my carburetor, so I installed this and routed the flow around the carb and through the filter on this unit. Worked well, sorta. This engine has the exhaust valve on the right side and when you lean the mower to the right it smokes badly and oil can flow fairly freely from the valve. This causes the container to fill up quickly and then the excess oil flows out the filter, all over everything. I will run the outlet of the unit back into the carb and hope it is at least slowed down a bit. The unit did exactly what it was supposed to do, great unit. Guess I may have to overhaul the engine or quit leaning right.

Excellent quality. will buy again
I am thoroughly impressed with the build quality of this catch can. I remember reading someone said it’s not bezeled. It is bezeled. The body of the can is very solid and rigid all billet aluminum. They provide everything you need (even go as far as throwing in thread tape!). I was surprised it came with 3 different sized hose fittings, the fittings are plastic but I’m not offended by it and they don’t feel like they’re going to break just don’t over torque them (hand tighten only and use thread tape). they provide mounting bolts and nuts but I personally will be using either self tapping screws or riv-nuts because i don’t want to deal with getting in and out of the back side of my fender.

Well made for the money, catches oil well.
Installed on my 2009 Wrangler 3.8L. The 3.8 is known to produce a bit too much oil in it’s crankcase for it’s own good. As others have said, open it up and clean out the metal shavings. I didn’t bother putting stainless steel Brillo Pad in the can like some people online tell you to. I take my Jeep in the woods and need as few variables as possible, and didn’t need metal flakes getting in my engine. This can is good as is, and the picture of the oil in the can was after 21 days. It is well machined, and comes with enough fittings and clamps for you to hook it up to your vehicle. The included hose is garbage though, use PCV hose or flexible fuel line cut to length from an auto parts store instead.

Catch can for bargain
I gave this product four stars which may be just a bit high, but than considering cost 4 may be fair. First if you order this just throw the hose they supply right in the garbage. Its junk it will collapse with vacuum on it or with any type of bend. The other issue was the rubber O ring seal around the can its self where your unscrew it from the body split the very first time I unscrewed the can. To be honest the ring is really useless anyway as your not really developing any real vacuum in the can because the air is flowing from the engine crankcase to the manifold through the can its not holding vacuum. The can has a screen with holes drilled in it to separate oil particles from the air and deposit them in the can. To me this seems very minimal at best.I decided to try a modification to the can by applying the vacuum to the side with the screen and taking a new stainless steel scratch pad used for cleaning pots and pans and filling the can with it so the air will flow through this and have more surface area to catch oil particles and the screen is preventing the materials from getting sucked into the vacuum side of the system. The can itself is made very sturdy really the thickness of the can and body are kind of over kill and add extra weight that has to be supported by the mounting bracket. I have only had the can on the car for about 500 miles so not sure how well its working yet but even the most basic ones I've seen on you tube seem to catch some thing so some thing is better than nothing. Will a $200 can work any better I don't know one would think so but if you don't have $200 to spend this can will do the job. The dip stick is a nice touch so you don't have to unscrew the can all the time to check content level. One thing that would of really made this a 5 star product would of been a drain in the bottom of the can, but again for the price its hard to complain.
