Great flavour
Love using this product to give an authentic flavour to vegan 'chicken' dishes. Expensive, but the tub lasts a long time if used occasionally. Trying the beef flavour next

Alchemy is what this is! 🤩
Sceptical at first but that changed when it arrived and I immediately tasted it from the tin... Alchemy is what it is! It does indeed taste of chicken and will have you wondering how?!.Doesn’t necessarily translate into seitan when making that but as a seasoning, stock, flavouring agent otherwise it’s fantastic.I used it in a stew with seitan as the ‘meat’ component and this to make a gravy... damn good stuff!Price reflects the novelty and the shipping from Australia so bear that in mind and it’s great quality too, would be a 5 star if not for price to quantity ratio.Worth it overall in my humble opinion.

Good.
This is good when using other flavourings. In a Kimchi potato soup, for example, i add sesame oil, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, spring onion, garlic, coriander, kimchi, and without 1/2tsp to 1tsp of this massel chicken stock powder it lacks that special something. So it's definitely worth having. Making a plain soup using just this as the flavouring though, it's a bit bland, so it's a great addition-type ingredient flavouring, but i wouldn't be without it tbh, i love it.

A stock cupboard essential
Not just used for chicken recipes, use it for flavoring in almost any dishes.

Super tasty!
When buying this I was a little apprehensive as I thought it seemed a little pricy for the quantity, I was SO wrong! This has lasted me months of somewhat regular use. You only need a little bit per dish (for 1-2 servings) as this stuff packs a super flavourful punch. Very versatile. Great value. This product would be better if it had a temporary peel off metal lid or aluminium lid and a plastic lid to use after opening for freshness, the metal lid on mine has now rusted around the rim.

Decent product
Salty but sufficiently flavoured to mock chicken - ish

Spookily flavoursome.
[This review is for the Chicken Style powdered bouillon.]Cor! Gorgeous stuff! Pretty amazing that it’s totally meat free. I do eat meat about 50% of evening meals, but aspire to eat much less of it, and this is a huge help in getting the savouriness I crave. I bought it because couldn’t find my usual Marigold Bouillon, but this may well be even tastier. Great product.

Good product
I saw Massel stock mentioned in a recipe I was making for German style roast pork so had a google as I’d never heard of it. Obviously I’m not a vegan but despite the cost I bought it after reading one of the reviews on here saying it tasted more of chicken than stock cubes containing actual chicken. Anyway, I really like it. I find other stock cubes like kalllo or knorr are ok but they add other spices/garlic which doesn’t always go well with the dish I’m cooking. However the Massel stock gives that chicken-y oomph without all those extra flavourings. It went very well in my Chinese chicken & sweetcorn soup. Word of caution, it’s fairly salty so only add it gradually. I only wish I’d discovered it earlier when I was regularly cooking for a vegetarian!
