This kit comes with two nail-care tools presumably to help you position the patches, and help you free your ingrown nail. I like the tools, and, since this is a very inexpensive kit, they might be worth the cost alone, but if you want to fix your ingrown toenail, I suggest you try a more expensive brand of patches. Or, better yet, see a podiatrist (foot doctor) and let a pro handle it, if you have that option.These patches want to stick to themselves or one another more than they want to stick to skin or nail (more cohesive than adhesive, for the technical crowd). Admittedly, I am not using them for their intended purpose, but instead to create some space between my nail bed and nail on my big toes. They typically fall off within a few hours of putting them on, even when I'm just sleeping. The package comes with no directions about where or how to apply the patches. See the photo of the box: that picture inside the circle is the closest thing the package has to directions on how to apply these things.I cannot recommend these as an effective device for rectifying an ingrown toenail, or even for spacing your toenail from the nailbed, but the metal tools are solid, and useful (that's what the two stars are for--I would give the actual patches zero stars). If the patch won't stay on your foot, it's cannot exert pressure on your toenail to re-shape it.

Overall I am really unhappy with this product. It is difficult to use- the material is flimsy and sticks to itself but doesn't stick to the skin well. I tried putting them on after my shower and before bed, and by morning they have fallen off and are sticking to the sheets. There are no directions for use included and I can't get them positioned well. I used about 12 of them before just putting them in the trash. Total waste of money.

If you are trying to correct a painful ingrown toe nail, these straps are too little too late. They are difficult and painful to place between the nail and skin.

These toenail corrector patches are super simple and work surprisingly well. My toenails were digging into my skin on the sides and it became so painful that it would keep me up at night sometimes. I decided to give these patches a try and they were very helpful. These did not get rid of the problem immediately, but after a week or two, my toenails were back to normal. In the future, I'll use these at the first sign of a problem instead of waiting until it gets bad. Overall, though, I'm glad I gave these patches a try!
