Bond-It Patination oil - 500ml can for lead flashing - stops the white stains that are caused by oxidation by Bond-It

I bought a few rolls of the dodgy Chinese lead for my windows and within a day it had a bad reaction to the air like a chemical rection and all of my windows looked right mess I could have cried, but this stuff came to my rescue. You just rub it on and the lead defects disappear and they do not come back quickly. This product relly is amazing and outstanding. I had never heard of it until a window specialist told me about it when I was telling him of my plight. This stuff saved me having to re-lead all of my windows and it saved me a lot of money so the outlay to buy it was nothing in comparison. Thank you very much whoever invented it and thnk you to the seller for selling it on Amazon.

This was easy to apply and it really seems to have improved the colour of the lead. I wish we'd known to use this earlier - our lead was already discoloured from the wet and I did my best to clean it and add the oil, but it's not as good as it would have been if we'd used this from the start. Not sure how it's going to do long term, or if I'll need to re-apply, but so far it looks better.

Easy to apply this to lead on roof porch which has stopped the staining from the lead onto the painted exterior wall.

It is a pity I have to buy such a large amount when I need very little. Otherwise good value and did the job on my lead flashing.

I didn’t use that much for the job I was doing( lead flashing above my bow window )so had quite a bit left.Its a bit hard to comment on this product as you don’t see any reaction I suppose time will tell if it works .Looks ok so far

Nothing wrong with the product and delivery however did not give the finish that I was hoping for based on the reviews that I had read. I will probably end up painting it ......

Used it for pagination nice stuff

Having retired in the last year I have getting round to "those" jobs that I just haven't had time for - one of those jobs was the lead flashing around my Dormer windows. Painting it was out of the question as it doesn't last long enough and will peel within 2-3 years. This Patination Fluid did the trick, it restores some life back to the previously powder grey lead and provides some weather proofing. Without this treatment the lead will eventually dry out and split - which ours did, which in turn encouraged wasps to nest - so do not ignore the lead flashing. Very pleased with the product and have recommended it to mates.
