I am writing this as my wifes husband (I ain't Fran) I have wet shaved for over 48 years and always purchased a well known brand of triple blade razor repayments. However in elder years I have developed an annoying spot on my chin that when I place that triple blade razor over it, it pumps blood. Even a plaster can't take the volume.So, I decided to go electric/cordless.My lovely mother in law bought me a Philips shaver for my 18th birthday 40 years ago and I never got used to it. It ripped my neck to bits.40 years on, I did my research, wached loads of YouTube reviews. Then decided on the Philips i9000 prestige.Wow. Its not quite as good as a blade shave, but it's so so close.I was worried about skin irritation, yes the first shave, after that none.The shaver clean station is ingenious.This is the closest I have got to The Best A Man Can Get shaver.I love it, it's also fantastic for head shaving.The cleaning station is easy to use.Overall......Mega Impressed

I have had a few brands or shavers over the years, but the last Philips I had was so good (5000 series) that when that one finely started to take longer to charge (its years old) I decided to go for Philips again and although this Prestige model is a lot of money, wow, its worth every penny. A fast comfortable and smooth shave even with 5 day old stubble. The heads glide smoothly, the shaver gets every hair, even those odd funny angle ones the old shaver used to need 2 to 3 passes to get. I am delighted with this shaver and highly recommend it. One of the most obscure but useful improvements in design has to be the hinged head which makes cleaning it simpler. Philips are expensive but worth the money for the quality and the results

I bought this for my husband as he’d always wanted one, it gives a lovely shave and it saves him having wet shaves, and the cleaning of the head ability is very good.

I've always used Phillips shavers and my last one has lasted at least 12 years.I would never have paid the retail price for this shaver but I assume it's nearly always available at a reduced price and treated myself for Christmas.Shaves very close, quiet and comfortable on the skin. I went for the corded version as it has 1 hour charging as opposed to the wireless charging version which I believe takes 3 hours unless you keep it charged continuously.I have deducted a star for the non inclusion of a stand to keep the razor in when not in use. You get a case, but a simple plastic stand should have been included as with previous models. The cleaning station does not charge and is powered by the shaver running. The shaver has a sensor so it knows when it's upside down.The battery display wakes up when you pick the shaver up, which is a nice feature. It's not a great display but functional with minutes remaining, cleaning reminder. There are three power levels to choose from, I'm using maximum.So far, seems a great shaver but it really should be considering the price!

My husband is very very happy with this electric shaver. Quiet stylish and shaves very close. All in all an excellent purchase.

Worth every penny, very close comfortable shave

Prices fluctuated during Black Friday for this s shaver show it is difficult to ascertain whether or not it was a bargain. Decided against keeping it and returned it.However eventually did purchase a series 9000 shaver and it cuts very closely and quickly.Expensive but you get what you pay for.

I have had several top of the range foil shavers that used to leave lots of stray hairs, this leaves none. I have sensitive skin but a very quick growing stubble which comes from random directions and is very tough. This razor isn’t as delicate on the skin as a foil but it’s still very good but it does remove all of my stubble even after 5 or 6 days. No other razor has even came close to doing that. It’s also very quiet. Best shaver ever!!
