This is a durable and well made blanket. It’s not as warm as several other similar blankets. I suspect the denser weave and lack of loft. It stops the wind cold and turns water very well. I wouldn’t want it to be my primary blanket under fifty degrees while camping. You might have a miserable night. It held blanket pins very well with no damage from stress. If you buy it you want be disappointed as long as it is within the parameters noted. It will give years of service.

Definitely a great deal for what you get! Warm, soft, comfortable, and heavy duty. It's everything you want in a wool blanket. At this price you can't go wrong. I have one in my vehicle, just in case. I have one I take camping, and one I keep for around the house. Wool blankets are a great investment. Especially if you like to be around a fire on cold nights. Wool doesn't burn or melt. So it's the perfect blanket to use while sitting around a camp fire with friends.👍

So, the smell they talk about is strong enough to give some people a headache when first opened. It sticks around a while as well, BUT it's not a bad smell.The blanket itself is not as scratchy as I was expecting, while being warmer than I was expecting. At home, all I need to do is cover my feet with it and im good to go.I'll try to remember to update once I take it camping.

Good quality, decent weight to it. It will keep you warm in the spring and fall, and during summer at higher elevations. I use it in conjunction with a woobie blanket and it works wonders. There is a bit of a smell but im not bothered by it at all. I wish it was 100% wool but its good for its intended use.

Nice and heavy and appears very durable. Taking this out camping soon, but I can tell from the initial impression that this is on par with mil-spec wool blankets and the quality is very good.I read a few reviews that discussed the faint lanolin scent on the blanket, but it is really very mild and will dissipate over time. If you have ever owned a wool army blanket then this is normal and no big deal at all.All in all very pleased with the purchase.

This blanket is just the right weight, beautiful to look at and great quality. I bought it to sit on while I meditate as wool is great for keeping the earth energies separate while grounding the body. It's also my go to blanket while sitting and enjoying a good book.

I bought over a dozen wool blankets for group camping. I didn't know which brands were best, so I bought a bunch of different ones. Price-wise this one was higher than average.This one looks nice, but was a little on the thin side (not the thinest), and was leaving a couple of pills wherever I took it (amongst the two worst blankets for this).All of the blankets arrived with different odors. This one didn't have a strong smell, but it was persistent. About half the blankets just needed to be aired out. This one required more. Febreeze was able to knock out the remaining odor (as it also did with all but the 2 worst ones).Running my hands along the blanket felt reasonably soft, but for some reason when I tried to take a nap with it, I itched all over.For warmth, It performed as expected.I will be taking it for the group camping, but it won't be the first one that will be grabbed when needed.

I plan on using this to supplement my winter sleeping system for those cold (below freezing) nights. I read several reviews about the smell but its mild and reminds me my youth when all we had was wool blankets. :) I have yet to try it for overnight camping but event sleeping inside this thing is way warm. Great blanket and looking to get many long years out of it!
