So far so good. Great cut. Seems like a really nice and safe dado stack. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality tool.

The way these lock together perfectly aligns the cutters for smooth operation. Comes with a handy chart to show you which shims to use for desired thickness of dado. Cuts well, aligns easily. Recommend!

I bought this to replace my older stacked dado set because it was not suitable for my new SawStop table saw; The old one had full size chippers which made it very massive. SawStop tech support informed me that with that much rotating mass, if the brake activated on the saw, there was a good chance that the arbor would actually bend from the rotating torque. This set weighs less than the SawStop branded Dado stack, (which retails for quite a bit more), so it should be okay. The locking mechanism is unique and kind of cool once you get used to it. It only took me two tries to " dial in " the right width for my application. Very nice. The only complaint I have is that the shims are not labeled for thickness; easy enough to remedy with a sharpie and a micrometer.

Good quality blade.

I think I read everything available on Dado’s for SawStop saws. In particular I have the Jobsite Pro. Since I really like CMT blades and I liked the increased safety aspect of the interlocking nature of this Dado set I landed here. I’m very glad I did.First off: this works great on this small saw. You can use it at its greatest expansion with the stock spindle nut and still have a thread exposed. Secondly, it cuts very well. So far in beach, oak and pine. The bottoms are not completely flat, but I think that this depends on how you have it set up. Still they are very good. Very little chip out. The setup instructions with this set are dead on accurate.Now: you MUST read very carefully the extremely fine print on how to set this blade up. The diagrams are only marginally helpful when combined with the text. It is NOT intuitive!!! The locking spacers in conjunction with the magnetic and non-magnetic spacers must be in the correct order in order to get the smoothest cuts, especially when attempting wide cuts. Getting used to just HOW to lock all the various blades, chippers and locking spacers together so that the teeth of EACH of them lines up optimally takes a bit of thought, time and some trial and error. If you’re in a hurry with this set, you won’t be happy.I’m thinking of getting a set of magnetic spacers, since the non-magnetics can slip and slide a bit during assembly which makes the whole unit difficult if not impossible to get over her arbor. Not a show stopper though.Oh- regarding cost, of course don’t forget to factor in the Dado SawStop brake cartridge. But overall for the cuts you get, the safety you definitely get, and the ability to use this without another arbor nut I think this is a great product that I’ve enjoyed using.When assembled correctly the Dado unit is rock solid, locked in (as promised by CMT) and works great.
