very good!!
at first I was unsure, but I decided this product almost purely based from the reviews when compared to the mixed reviews on the other products... only 4 stars, since the sesame isn't my favorite - I like it but I'm not even sure what the paste inside of it is supposed to taste like??? it's really confusing on my taste buds, like, I can't really tell if it's supposed to taste like sesame paste or what.. given I've also never had sesame paste though, I wouldn't know anything about this part. I prefer the peanut more and I really like the taro and red bean. anyway, it's pretty much as fresh as you'll get afaik with any prepackaged mochi stuff, at least from amazon, so it's not too bad. I'd recommend this if you want a variety of flavors but dont know what to get based off of reviews. also I got this overnight 7am-11am thanks to amazon and the awesome sellers.p.s. the taro colors on the pictures vs what you actually get varies. my box had purple taro like you'd think taro would look like and then the inside of the actual taro mochi wasnt even purple but it definitely tasted like taro so I'm not really upset about it or anything. just thought I'd mention that.p.p.s. (writing less than 20 hrs later after product arrival and taste testing) it's seriously amazing. just between me and my husband we already finished the entire box of taro and red bean and currently only have one left of peanut and sesame each. seriously, get these if you're getting mochi on here. these are great.

Fresh, original, truly Japanese
Fresh, original, truly Japanese and High Quality. Flavors are hit or miss, but that's the beauty of a Variety Pack. The filling is less than pictured, but honestly that's a good thing, the fillings would be overwhelming otherwise.

Exactly as advertised.
I live in the middle of the United States. So food like this is it around here very often. I had never tried mochi and I wanted to. I thought all of them were delicious and well worth the adventure!

I wish I had more hands so I could give more thumbs up
I had never had mochi before, and I was a little leery of these savory ones. However, they were fantastic, and I have since ordered two more orders of them. All four flavors are delicious. If I had to rank them, I would say the red bean paste was shockingly my favorite followed by the taro and then the sesame and then the peanut. The texture is so wonderful. They are incredibly satisfying and fun to eat and the flavors are delicious. Because they have some starch on the outside, they aren't too sticky to handle at all. I love that you get a variety in this order with all four flavors. The fillings and The smell are all great. 100% will keep buying this. You should definitely give them a try.

Not what you'd expect
Having never had mochi but always seeing it in manga and anime, I was extremely curious what it tasted like and it's... definitely an acquired taste. It's not bad by any means, but it's a very *particular* taste. The hardness/thickness is in-between a haribo gummy and a gumdrop, but a very smooth texture (minus the sesame coated one). The outer thickness combined with the filling makes you want to have a drink on hand cus it's a lot...Of the flavors, I liked the peanut butter one the most. Red bean was super subtle but it did have a hint of sweetness to it. The other two weren't bad but they were definitely flavors I would have to be in the mood to eat. If you're curious, I would suggest picking 1 flavor and trying that out instead.

Mochi
At first, the texture threw me, very chewy. On my second try, I became addicted. I will be reordering these. Nice gentle flavor.

Sweet
Flavor and quality are good but noticeably sweeter than others. A touch too much for me but it wasn't grossly sweet.

Delicious!
I’ve never tried mochi before, but I’m no stranger to Japanese cuisine and pastries. These are delicious! Very soft, but marshmallow chewy-like. I tried the red bean, as I love the red bean pastry buns. So yummy. They’re sweet, so one is enough in one sitting for me.
