I LOVE THIS LIGHT!! This things grows chaeto algae for my reef aquarium like a machine!! It is extremely bright and very good quality. I believe this light is just as good as the kessil or AI if not better for growing macroalgae. The hanging kit makes it easy to hang under my tank stand above the sump. The only downside to this light is it gets very hot, but I haven't had any problems with it for almost 2 years now. Great buy!!

I am using this to grow macro algae in my sump for my saltwater tank. I like that it is waterproof and have been extremely impressed with the functionality and the brightness of this light. It is extremely lightweight a single screw was all I needed to hang it above the tank. For the price it is a tremendous value, for a Kessel grow light which I understand is top of the line you are looking at close to 300 bucks. It has outperformed the cheaper clamp on fixtures and single bulbs. So far so great.

The grow light is great and does exactly what it says it'll do. You may actually have to back it off a little due to intensity even. I also like the fact that it is water resistant and so far has lived up to that promise.Word of caution: The unit may be LED but it is very hot and spills off a lot of heat. For those applications this is a problem you may want to consider other options. I have mine in an aquarium refugium and may have to consider another option due to the heat specifically for summer months where the house is warmer.

I have had the single light size for a month now and it does amazing. I use it as a refugium light in the sump of my reef tank, keeping it about 6 to 8 inches above the water. Seems to grow my macro algae just fine. Only downside is that it does get extremely hot, so if you plan to use it, make sure you have plenty of space to vent. There is no cooling fan on this device just metal and led light. I am not sure what the does to the life of the LED but for how cheap it is it is worth it.

Ordered four lights for outdoor supplemental lighting since our porch only gets half-day sun and I wanted to grow full-sun plants and flower boxes. The lighting units produced a solid amount of light and don't seem to run overly hot and the plants seem to be prospering. One light had the wrong0sized ring to seal the junction between the power cable and the lighting unit cable, exposing a connection to the elements. Contacted customer support, and they sent a replacement unit, no questions asked.I am very satisfied at this point (one month in) and like the energy efficiency and quiet operation.

100w review. So far so good. Upon initially plugging it in i realized that the housing does get too warm to handle, but after adding a small usb fan to circulate the air around it i can pick it up without issue. At the moment it's resting on top of a 5g bucket and is flooding the inside with light. Seedlings are looking fantastic and healthier than any I've started. Once I finish my 18x18 box i think it will perform perfectly, but wouldn't advise using it for anything larger than that.

Bought this light and initially was very satisfied. Great power, warmth and good growth. After three months the light burnt out and would not turn back on. I run the light for about 7 hours a day so no excessive usage. Good light initially but terrible reliability.
