Was apprehensive, but it's good.
First, just to say I'm not an average DIY bod. I've fitted quite a few of these bar mixers over the years. The existing one had the usual 'not running hot ' problem (Bristan valve) and cleaning/de-scaling it didn't work. I could get a new cartridge (third party on Amazon) for about 20 quid but chose to pay 30 for this valve.I was wary, because the 30 quid one (model is Locus) showed a weight of half a kilo. Messaged the seller and they assured me it is brass (chrome plated), so I took the plunge. It is smaller than the old valve, but very neat. Lighter too, but not half a Kg, more 1.2 Kg, which is decent. Felt better quality than I feared it would. So thumbs up for that.Fitted in 10 minutes (they are all super easy to fit, if just a swap out) and it works well. Looks nice, but then any new one would. So, I saved £15 against one from Screwfix or similar (I get trade prices) and whilst it is early days in terms of reliability, I'm optimistic. Came with a lifetime warranty, which of course I cannot comment on.On experience so far, I shall buy more of the same in future. Don't think there's a better recommendation than that.

Great for the price
Great for the price. Works well with our combi-boiler system and regulates water temperature perfectly. Responds in realtime to taps being used of loos flushed elsewhere in the house so you never get scalded or doused in cold water when showering. Also makes running baths at just the right temperature a breeze.Compared to the plain mixer tap we had before this tap does slow the flow of water somewhat, so showers are not quite so powerful and the bath takes longer to fill. Still perfectly adequate though and worth it for the benefit of consistent temperature. The input to our combi is regulated to 2.0 bar with a pressure reducing valve. I don't think this tap would work with much less - I may even turn it up a fraction some time.

Budget wise, this item fits the bill
In the world of shower/bath mixers there is an abundance of choice and a wide range price points available. All of which makes deciding on which one to purchase quite difficult. However, if an upper limit budget wise is set, let's say below £55., then this item fits the bill. More so if a thermostat is required to regulate the temperature of both the bath and the shower - essential if others or other appliances are using water during its use. For the price, I'll be very happy if it outlasts the warranty period, even just, and the thermostat doesn't fail. But only time will tell. It does the job more than adequately and appears to be well made and reliable; it is surely solid.

Excellent Bath Tap Replacement
Bought this to replace two old individual taps on the bath and add a thermostatically controlled simple shower outlet whilst at it. It fitted directly onto existing copper pipework so didn't need to modify anything. Fitting - and particularly alignment on 180mm centres - was made easier by being able to fit the stems first and then attach them to the main mixer unit after.Speaking of the stems, it doesn't quite look like the picture as the one that arrived had much longer ones (so the tap stands taller on the bath). No matter... once in and tightened up, it was nicely aligned, leak-free and held chosen (combi boiler) water temperatures steadily. Flow rate was good too.Downsides? The tap unit itself is (I assume) solid chrome plated brass... however the 'flow' and 'temperature controls' on the unit are chromed plastic and don't feel anywhere near as durable. They currently work perfectly and feel nice to use... but only time will tell as to how long they'll stay that way. Also not that confident on getting spares should they be required (instructions suggested these were sourced from China).Other than that - and for the price - hard not to recommend them.

Excellent product, beware the fitting.
I have to say, that the product itself is of a very high standard. Solid, robust and looks very good indeed. The three stars though are for the fitting of the product and instruction leaflet. The chrome nuts to attach the bar to existing 15mm pipework are too large, therefore requiring the offset connectors (which are supplied). This reduces the fitting ok and the assembly then works fine. The problem is, the ornamental cover plates are now approximately 25mm too short to reach the wall. My existing chrome nuts are 'tight' to the wall anyway, just enabling it to be possible to use a spanner for fitting, but now require 45mm deep cover plates, not the 20mm ones supplied. Also, I needed an extra large cover plate at the back to cover wall and tile damage, which is shown in the fitting leaflet. Willing to pay extra for this, I rang inquiring the price to be told they do not supply this plate and would have to purchase it elsewhere. Which I subsequently did.Nowhere could I find deep cover plates to finish off the gap from the bar mixer though, so I had to improvise using several adaptable items I could trim down from a B & Q store.Fortunately, as a retired carpenter & joiner and very used to doing my own plumbing alterations over many years, I didn't find it too hard to sort out in the end.It now looks very imposing indeed I have to say, but goodness knows how a DIY person would handle the situation I came across. The staff at iBath were extremely helpful and even rang me back to say that the large wall cover plate was unavailable from themselves and wasn't even in their own fitting leaflet anyway!!! I emailed them a copy of my leaflet clearly showing it.

Don’t buy!
We originally bought this tap in feb 2021 and it developed a fault in Feb 2022 where the thermostat could no longer regulate the temperature. We got this replaced and now in July 2023 the same fault has happened again.Amazon have been very unhelpful, Bathroom4Less have directed back to Amazon as Amazon is the retailer and I can’t find contact details for VeeBath anywhere so what point is the 5 year guarantee! It is not fit for purpose.
