Great for traveling
Highly recommend this one especially if you're traveling to other countries and don't have any cell service. The app is really easy to use and it takes no time at all to connect to service when you're travelling to other countries. If you plan to use it frequently I would recommend having a portable charger handy so that you don't love service.

Note for traveling to Europe & would like to use local SIM card in this pocket WIFI
I hope that my review can help people like us, and not wasting time & money on this device if you know the pros and cons ahead of time. My husband & I just bought new phones, and our phones are under contract that prevent us from installing local SIM cards in our phone. We bought this pocket WIFI, and hope that it can provide internet for us when we were traveling through Europe countries. At first, we bought their international internet packet to start with. We want to make sure that we have internet to get Uber in foreign countries. We bought the 5G package for about US$40. We used up more than 3G data just the 1st day. We only used the WIFI for Google maps & Uber. That's it. We think that the company has way different calculation in terms of data usage than the rest of the world. So, we went to the local store to buy local SIM cards for internet service. The service provider associates helped us many times, and they failed to make the SIM cards works with this pocket WIFI. What is the purpose of having the SIM card slot & it will never work. This is all very frustrating. The pocket WIFI stopped working at all when we have 500 MB data left...If you want to get a pocket WIFI to use in foreign countries using the local SIM card. This pocket WIFI is not for you. It will not work with any network service provider.

Good connection
I purchased it before my trip to Germany. I had issues buying the data but customer service helped. When I turned it on I had no issues messages through wifi or using Googlemaps. I think depending on where you go you'll have a good connectivity.

It works but can be spotty
I previously rented these devices, but given my frequent travels, I've opted to buy one and pay for data as needed. The device functions well overall, yet I've noticed in Europe, particularly near country borders, the connectivity can be unreliable. For instance, while in Germany, being close to the Belgium or Netherlands border often results in no signal. It's a bit frustrating, but aside from that, the device works as advertised.

Very useful
We are in Poland and we can't use our SIM cards but I this box and bought some GB data and installed "What's up" app and we connect our phones to the box and we can call, text and use Internet while we are out. Is it very useful speed, quality, very easy to use and easy to connect. I would recommend it 👌.

The device itself works great. It will cost you though.
This is definitely a convenient device and it works very well for the world traveler. It’s easy to connect and it is small and compact and very well-made. There is absolutely no problem to the set up. It is straightforward and easy. And they would want it to be because until you get it running they’re not going to be able to sell you data. Data that comes at an exorbitant price. The device comes with comes with 4 GB of data pre-loaded. Once you activate it you will have to use your data within a certain amount of time or it will expire.Personally I hate time limits for data. You should pay for data or use pay for time but never both. That’s like charging for gas but also charging how fast the gas goes into your car, and then taking away the gas that isn’t used after a certain amount of time. Hopefully at some point the market will correct for this predatory practice. The problem comes when after you use that 4 GB of data or allow it to expire This thing is expensive. Very expensive and you can easily spend hundreds of dollars a month on the Internet. A quick rundown of the price list looks like it’s gonna be around $20 give or take per gigabyte. That’s crazy. A DVD has 4.7 GB on it so if you watch the DVD it’ll cost you $80-$100. Double layer double sided DVD will hold four times that. The cheaper day to last for three days and the more expensive pay the last for a mere 30 days. These days most phones are multi band phones and can be used anywhere in the world with a proper Sim card. Most countries sell Sim cards preloaded with data and phone time. This is not a familiar practice for people living in the United States but it’s very common in other countries. You go by your phone at one place and maybe go to another kiosk and buy a Sim card. You can reload that Sim card or purchase a new one. So the alternative to doing this is to buy a Sim card for your phone and use your phone for supplying data to your devices. I don’t think tethering is extra outside of the United States either. By using this method you will spend much less money for Internet access in another country. And I’m not talking about saving a few dollars we were talking about orders of magnitude here.Until these sorts of devices can compete with the data plans offered by local Sim providers, I doubt they will ever see widespread use nor should they. And because the data expires that makes this device unsuitable as an emergency backup. If they allowed for persistent data then it would be much more common to see people carrying these in case of emergency.I’m reading three stars for the device alone but the pricing practices of this company and others that make the same kinds of devices are extremely predatory and until that changes, I can’t recommend anybody getting one of these.

Portability
The product itself is great to use while abroad. The battery life is phenomenal along with the data speeds and signal strength. However the app is a bit clunky and needs refinement. Be careful of the top ups as they can double charge you inadvertently.
