Is it marine rated? can it last in salt air?

Not marine rated. It is sealed, I use mine in a marine application with no issues.

Is the any advantage to running 2 100amp batteries over just running this 200 amp ?

There is no advantage from an operational standpoint. Generally one, 200 amp hour battery costs less than two, 100 amp hour batteries. Just be sure the 200 amp hour battery will fit in the space where it will be installed as they can be larger than a standard battery.

What are the charging specifications? does it work with typical car/marine engines with 12 volt systems? lipo usually needs specific charge requirem

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, LiFePO4 batteries have a 14.4V charging voltage and this battery has a Max. Continue Charge Current of 50A. It should be compatible with 12V electric motors but not as a starter battery as it was not designed to do that.

Failed and company did not honor warranty

Battery failed after being stored in the cold. The BMS failed to protect it and the company refused to honor the warranty. Avoid.

This is the battery to get! Read my review!

I'm in love with Expert Power's12v 40Ah LiFePO4 battery!I'm a competitor in kayak bass fishing and recently installed a 35lb. thrust trolling motor on my tournament kayak.Being a survey boat captain I have an OCD to have reliable equipment on all my vessels! So, I started my research on quality lithium batteries at a fair price. Narrowing it down to 2 batteries I chose Expert Power not going with the more popular company with the majority of the KBF anglers.And I'm so glad I did! This battery pushes me all day and still has a full charge at the end of the day! My competitors are even impressed with this 40Ah battery going just as hard as there 55Ah's.I recieved my battery on February 10th and it's now March 18th. When I first went out with this battery it was choppy water and I got water in the hull. Not much but enough to make contact my wires and trip the built in BMS to kill power supply. So I didn't know what happened and contacted customer service at Expert Power and got a friendly gentlemen named Bryan. Well he walked me through a procedure to troubleshoot the issue and not much longer after emailing back and forth I was back in action. I'm so satisfied with the customer service I received! Bryan stayed in touch with me and even checked on me/battery when he didn't here from me. In my last email to him I left my number and said to feel free to call. With no hesitation he did! Now that's great service!After getting off the water today with high winds, and going out a couple of times a week since receiving my battery, I knew it was time to write my review.Let me put it like this, I will be buying every battery I purchase from Expert Power for now on!From a boat captain with an OCD to have quality and reliability equipment, I give my lithium battery and Expert Power purchasing experience on Amazon 5 stars.Sean Scott

Great Battery APP Doesn't work

When you try and take a pic of the QR code, it takes you to the page download the apple or google app. It takes multiple tries to download the Apple App. Once you down load and try to pair up the battery, it says not working try later. If you hit the back arrow is displays You Quit System...I know it's Chinese but come on, a ten year hold could type better or make more sense.

No Customer Service or Warrenty

I have purchased two batteries from this company. Both have gone bad within 6 months. I have called all phone numbers listed as well as email for repair / warranty help. The phone numbers are not answered and voice mail isn't returned. Very poor quality batteries and zero customer service and warranty support. Buy with this info in mind.

the people at experpower were good. I felt that they over complicated the charging process. I would have given this battery 5 stars. but it was shipped to me with 1/4 charge left. not a really big deal. just had to charge it up.
