AIR-1 Air Rechargeable Clip-On Tuner, Black

This is an upgrade to the well established regular Silver Snark, although it costs a bit more, it works well, looks good, simply charged, nice and bright and tunes easily. It is some what smaller overall and now stays on my guitar headstock permanently, even fits in the hard case with the lid down so I'm never without it.

Snark AIR-1 Air Rechargeable Clip-On Tuner, BlackBought because i pretty much got sick and tired of forgetting to replace the battery which for some reason are becoming more expensive as time goes on.This being rechargeable makes it more convenient it takes around 2 hours to fully recharge.The display is nice and bright the orientation of the display can be changed by tapping the airplane on top twice which also stays if you just power off the device.The tuner does automatically turn off after 2 minutes if not in use so if you forget to turn the device off i will do so after 2 mins in order to save battery.I would say this is pretty much as accurate as it gets so would say its reliable.easy enough to hide behind the headstock and the display can rotate for a better viewing angle.Overall very convenient, easy to use, accurate and can be clipped on in a way where no one can see it.Display is see to see and in turn its easy to read when tuning.

Yes, the design is the best I've used or seen for a headstock tuner.I use a telecaster and it sits beautifully just behind the nut with the top part of the clamp under the strings. I haven't taken it off since I first put it there weeks ago and through much packing and unpacking it hasn't budged. Nice and visible to me in use but hidden viewed from the front.Works really well live but I do have a couple of issues...... Sometimes it seems to turn off in use... I'm not sure it is true A440 but it might be that me multi effects pedal is the culprit.Recommended.

I purchased this tuner mainly to keep my (resurrected) 12 string acoustic guitar in tune. I tried a cheaper tuner initially but sent back as it was unreliable. This tuner is well worth the price. No more ear twitch tuning 12 strings. Simply tune by eye using the display and the guitar is 'Wonderfully and Gloriously' in tune. Very easy to use. The display is beautifully clear even for my bespectacled 76 year old eyes right down at the far end of a 12 string acoustic guitar headstock. Excellent...Very Happy....

It looks good and works well… but, I thought this would be the answer to batteries. However it turns on in your pocket and all I’ve had out of the charge is about 48hrs. I suppose that’s ok if you’ve got time or a second one to leapfrog the charging. I don’t. Kind of expected longer life.

Firstly, this is an accurate, easy to read tuner with a clever design. It's also very responsive to the low E string which some of these clip-on tuners certainly aren't. Unfortunately I wasn't aware that you shouldn't use it with guitars that have a nitrocellulose finish or Gibsons. My main guitar is a Les Paul. My second guitar is a PRS. Unfortunately the headstock design means that you can't fit it to the back of the headstock (the machineheads are in the way) which is the big feature of this model. It does work fine of the front of the headstock however and works really well. A clever design in that respect. Also, read the small manual before throwing the packaging away. The plastic covering that comes fitted to the unit is needed to stop it turning on during it's time in your gigbag pocket. Mine was in the bottom of the bin with the remains of the family's dinner on it by the time I'd finished charging and read the manual.
