Q: Would this be able to hold square spice jars too?

My square bottles can only be held by the round lid.

Q: Will this hold your standard cvs pill bottle?

Could be a little large. Also adhesive is terrible.

Q: Is it necessary to use the little screws or can I just use the tape on the back of the racks? Thanks

Use the screws if you can. I used the tape and within hours they were falling off the wall and cabinet door. If our cabinet doors were in better condition I would have used the screws.

Q: My spice jars are about 1.5 inches diameter, will these hold them?

They will but not for long. The plastic is to soft & doesn't hold them very tight. The short containers stayed in the longers didn't.
