Droste LTR-5100-005 cocoa powder, 250g weight

Single best coco powder I've had, straight from the Netherlands. I use it for my late night hot coco, and overnight oats. Extra point for versatility!

Tried it as a cup of hot cocoa, upon arrival. I just had to sip it while admiring the packaging. I wish I owned the vintage Droste mug, too. It tastes so smooth and pleasing.Even the packaging is so convenient.As for the taste, texture, aroma and the final visual outcome of the cake; tastes so elegant, like a Victorian dessert, feels like an eyeshadow or powdered foundation ( won't even know when the spoon has touched the content in the box.), that supple, got a subtle cocoa aroma when smelt right out if the box and even the most basic and amateur of cakes (like mine in the pics), just looks like an expensive dessert. It's a 10 on 10 from me for all that criteria.

Super cacao not a hint of sweetness or added anything, delicious to drink with almond milk - unsweetened of course and for adding to cakes and chilli (just a quarter tsp though)

Purchased to make chocolate cakes which are sold through a local shop. I was quite surprised at the big difference this cocoa powder made to the flavour of the cakes, it's really much more chocolaty than the stuff I buy from supermarket. It is expensive though so might ask my Dutch relatives to look some out for me on their next visit!

Smells and tastes amazing . I have used many chocolate powders in my cookies, cakes , chocolate drinks and panacota this was one of the best chocolate powders I have used to achieve a creamy chocolaty flavor in all my baking .

I bought this to make chocolate cake expensive I found a French chocolate 100% which I like better and bought that for making chocolate cakes I made 2 with both the chocolate I bought and let my friends taste both did a blind test I asked which did they like the best the French chocolate cake was the winner they didn't like the Dutch chocolate one both cakes had the same ingredients.I've eaten Droste chocolate milk and plain round discs which I like very much the Droste chocolate powder didn't seem to go down well still using it up.

I have been using this product for over 20 years. For me it's the best and I won't use anything else. I used to get this in Old Compton St but they stopped selling it. I couldn't find it for a while a year or so ago and it stressed me out! It's back now and I think it tastes slightly different but perhaps that is just me. I still wouldn't go anywhere else. I usually use twice the recommended dose:) The only hot cocoa I ever drink apart from Cafe Vergnano on Charing Cross.Update- the last time I purchased this it was packaged in a flat Amazon envelope. The product and the pretty cardboard packaging was completely squashed . Not happy. Why would you put a rectangle box of hot chocolate powder in a flat envelope ?
