GarminDashboard Mount

For some reason, Garmin do not acknowledge this is compatible with the DS76 but it works great.Having read reviews, I ditched the included sticky pads and bought some 3M VHB instead.Base is a little 'plasticky' feeling, but it works fine - the locking lever allows the whole ball/neck to be removed and also swivelled round for positional fine tuning.No idea why it's not considred compatible, it holds the DS76 a good 20mm above the dash and there's plenty of surface area for a sticky pad underneath - In fact the surface area is far bigger than TomTom's offering for their units, and the last gen of TomTom's are far heavier than the Drivesmarts

Great product. It can be placed where you want it so as not to obscure vision but still be seen easily. Sticks well on to sloped surfaces and a rough surface extremely well. Does not come off easily so make sure of the position before sticking

Works great, easily attached and removed. Seems to fit most if not all Garmin models of sat nav. Once the base is in place (permanent use sticky pads supplied) the stalk can be removed when the sat nav isn't in use.Only down points is the original sticky pad on it came loose (may not have been attached correctly though as the spare worked ok) and despite being advertised as "low profile" and "Discrete" when the stalk is removed it has Garmin branding all over the sizeable base that's left so it's obvious a sat nav is in the vehicle. Only a minor issue but still it probably shouldn't be marketed as such.

the mount arrived quickly as is as advertised - the mount looks solid and as advertised after many months I have fitted the mount to my car dash board (a SAAB) which has a slightly curved shape, the old weighted or friction mount regularly sliding and on occasion flying off to the passenger side. The mount works well and I have no problems with the sat nav (a 5 inch screen size garmin) moving either on corners or rough surfaces. The mount does not obstruct your view too much should you leave the upright connector in position or you can easily take this section away with the quick release lock. I cannot comment on if the glue leaves any residue or how easy this is to clean. As a result I have moved the rating to 5 stars.

Had a suction mount that would fail, resulting in my satnav falling to the floor whilst driving.... not good.This mount has an adhesive pad... brilliant, satnav does what it does without taking a trip around the interior of the car.... Highly recommended

This item wasn't big enough for the type of sat nav I have but there was no size guidelines to go with when searching for what I wanted which wasn't very good so I have had to work round the product and make it work.

Excellent device, comes with 2 sticky pads for dash board. Also able to spin it around and lock in place at different angles, this can be viewed from any direction. This is very solid and sturdy and just great little thing. Also one click press button to remove from mount if you want. But you don’t really need to with Garmin quick release bracket on sat nav.

It looks sturdy and well-made, but it fails in its basic purpose, which is to stick on the dashboard. It's simply unusable as supplied. I have replaced the supplied sticky base with some branded sticky pads, but it still doesn't feel very secure. I'm not sure I will be keeping it, as it isn't suitable for the advertised purpose.

Funktioniert sehr gut. Ob die Verklebung hält, wird sich zeigen.Der Kugelkopf rastet gut am NAVI ein und läßt sich gut einstellen(links rechts)rastet in jeder Position ein. Wenn man das NAVI komplett abnehmenwill ist das kein Problem. Der Schwanenhals verbleibt am NAVI undman entriegelt den Fuß vom Halter.Alles sehr durchdacht.

Facil de instalar y usar. Tiene un seguro para evitar que se mueve el GPS una vez que se ajusta, este seguro al liberarse permite desmontar el cuerpo de la base mediante una pestaña para así dejar solo la base.

After many years, the plastic rim of my Garmin mount that is glued to the dashboard of my motor home finally gave way. It would no longer hold the Garmins's I've been getting over the years. I ordered this mount which was quickly delivered. It came with two permanent adhesive pads (my old one was a temporary pad that lasted 12 years!). I used one of the pads (like double sided thick tape) to place this mount on my dashboard where the old mount had been installed. The next day, this new mount was rock solid.The mount works great. It is holding the 7" Garmin that I use in the motor home very steady on bouncy roads. After the first week of use, and about 1,000 miles of travel, I can report I'm very pleased with this dashboard mount!
