Hi Catsmum, I bought these emergency pants for as a joke birthday present for a friend who was celebrating his 50th birthday; this and a couple of other novelty "old age" presents raised a few laughs. He did not actually open them, but I presume they were shaped like elasticated pants. I would suggest they could be suitable for anyone as a joke present. Although, I doubt these would be any use in a real situation!They are sold under the brand name "boxer gifts" and are not boxer shorts.
