Best hot water bottle ever! Large, and retains its heat.

I purchased this in April 23 and the bottle and cover are still intact and working. No leaks, no stinks, no broken zips. The zip does feel a bit flimsy and felt a little sticky to begin with but a quick rub over with a pencil lead sorted it.Good points:The bottle is, unusually, transparent, which allows filling to the recommended two-thirds-full level easy peasy. I markered a fill level mark on mine. It comes with a spare lid which I lost. The cover is very easily removable which means the HWB can be emptied and filled without drenching the cover. The cover is soft and fluffy and remains so after a couple of washes (so far); it also has a pocket/flap into which one can insert body parts, preferably one's own. The bottle has a wide opening to help prevent spilling and scalding. It can comfortably take a bit of weight - I like to lie partially on top of it but I haven't done the stomping test. I'll leave that to others.Contrary to advice and sense, I did fill the HWB with 100 degree C water and it survived, but I found it to be too hot and trial and error have settled on just over 90 degrees. I have one of those kettles, being fussy about coffee.Is claimed to be explosion proof so could be a life saver when minefield napping, for instance.Has a BS mark. No joke there.Bad points:You are stuck with, and must lump, a drab brown cover due to lack of choice. It could at least be compulsory cobalt blue. Why not impose something nice?The ad blurb claims this item is 'like the warmth he gives in winter'. I'm not so sure but doubt if this would affect functionality.Ludicrous Chinese brand name.If you like to drive a bus over your hottie before bedtime this probably isn't the one for you but keep looking.Bad points aside, this is a great and capacious HWB (though sensible filling to two-thirds-full does rather reduce these capacity ratings) and I definitely recommend it to anyone who has cold bits. This will warm 'em up even if you are dead. But that is a whole nother story, as they say.

Love this huge hot water bottle. It's nice and fluffy and holds alot of water so stays hot for longer and heats a larger area. The little pocket is a lovely touch too. Definitely recommend.

Purchased a little over a month ago and have only used it a few times but will not use again due to the lid popping off and soaking my bed and nearly burning me in the process! Proceeded to try again and even tightening the lid sufficiently the lid quite easily just pops off with very little pressure applied. i find this extremely dangerous and will not buy again!!!! Beware!!!

This is a great hot water bottle, stays warm for hours, lasts all night. Cover is very cosy and warm as well.
