The diameter is 43mm The 3 pin socket end fits round pin sockets which are found on numerous caravan sites We have had no trouble with this purchase Hope this answers your wuery

Q: Can I use this with my phev charging cable ?

It should be capable with the phev it is rated up to 13 amp on the socket side most ev granny chargers for UK are 10 amp, just remember to check the plug/socket every hour on first use to gauge how warm it gets. This is normal practice when charging an ev from a socket using the supplied granny charger. The plug will get warm but should never get hot under normal use. To reduce heat build up try to avoid repeated plugging and unplugging as this causes to plug connectors to widen and increases heat build up this applies to any mains socket especially when used for many hours at a time as in ev charging.

Q: Is this waterproof. Im thinking of using this to charge ev at work but obvious outside with a 3pin plug ?

No - Initially thought it was but an electrician who came to do some work in the place where I live (sheltered accommodation buoilding ) assured me it wasn't and we had to replace it with an approved standard fitting that is classed as waterproof.
