Works Like a Charm!
I have a new 2023 Mac mini (M2 Pro) and an LG 49" UltraWide monitor (LG 49WL95C-WY). For some reason, I struggled for quite a while trying to find a way to connect with the max 5120 x 1440 resolution. USB-C / Thunderbolt wasn't an option because I have that dedicated for my 2021 14" MacBook Pro and like to toggle between the two. (The monitor's USB-C works great! So if you have that option, you should be golden.) I tried almost seven different cables and adapters, including other name brand ones, like Anker's. (And, yes, all were alledgedly rated for 8K and Ultra High Speed 48 Gbps.) In the end, this USB-C to DisplayPort adapter was the only thing I could get to work. It is connected to a Cable Matters 16 ft DisplayPort Cable 1.4 (ASIN: B07L15MYWJ) straight to the monitor's DisplayPort. I don't have any issues with refresh, connection drops, etc. It works great!

Worked a charm - driving my 4K monitor
As hoped, the dongle worked a charm and delivered the results I was expecting - driving full 4K resolution in HDR in maximum frequency. Perfect to support my work from home setup!

THIS IS A THUNDERBOLT ADAPTER, NOT A STANDARD USB-C ADAPTER
Used for my valve index to connect to the thunderbolt port on my STRIX LC RX 6900 XT, worked for what I needed it for but caused slightly increased latency. Is to be expected though as it's adding another connection into the puzzle

Solid product
I use this adapter to connect a Dell monitor (P2419H) to a MacBook Air. I had been using an HDMI adapter but this gives much better results.

Works with Oculus Rift S
I bought this specifically to connect my VR headset, an Oculus Rift S, to my laptop’s USB-C port, and it works amazingly well. (To clarify, it’s a Lenovo Legion Pro, and the USB-C port is 3.2 Gen 2 with DisplayPort™ 1.4, power delivery 140W). I know Meta doesn’t officially endorse any USB-C to DisplayPort connector, but this one worked for me. (Note that I needed the Anker adapter that provides 4K@144Hz. The 60Hz adapter might not work.)
