Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Detangler 237 ml

I have long, fine hair that comes down to my waist and knots really badly. In the past it has been so bad that I've actually just had to give up and cut the knots out.I was unsure of this product at first, simply because I wasn't sure that it would be suitable for my hair type as its very thick. But after asking a question on this page and getting some answers from people with similar hair types saying it worked for them, I decided to give it a go.It's very very different to any other detangler I have tried, but unlike any other detangler I've tried, this actually works! It feels really odd at first, because it actually feels like you're just putting conditioner in your hair and leaving it, but just like others on here have said, it's all about using it sparingly. I've been using a piece about the size of a 5p coin and then working it into damp hair, brushing it through and then letting it air dry.All in all, this product is incredible. My hair is smooth, soft to touch and completely knot free, and it stays that way the entire day! Honestly, before I tried this I had resigned myself to just having permanently knotty hair, but this solved every problem and has the added benefit of leaving hair looking and smelling beautiful.

I apply this product to damp hair. I do feel like it removes tangles mostly because it is very oily and reduces friction between the hair fibers allowing you to separate tangled hairs. For that I will gives it 4 stars. For its moisture giving properties I give it 5*. My hair always feels soft and moisturized for at least 3 days after I use it. For me this product is perfect as a leave-in, a tangle remover and a sealant for moisture. It is very sticky and oily. That may be a con for some. It may not work for people with softer finer hair (they could apply it on dry hair). The smell of this product, unlike the other products in the Shea Moisture raw Shea butter line, is less like Shea butter and more like a perfumed activator gel like smell. The smell and the feel are not enough to turn me off. If I had only one product to buy from Shea Moisture, it would be this.

Recently natural. Cannot rate this product highly enough! My hair is kinky coily and will sit in curls or Afro depending on what I do with it after I wash it, my hair laps this stuff up!!! Only need trace amounts of your hair is mixed, medium length and fairly fine. Defines your curls and sorts any tangles right out without any heaviness or tackiness at all!! My go to product, little bit of oil to seal it and those curls pop!

Works better as a leave-in conditioner, but works well on wet hair. Don't use if you are in a hurry as it appears white on dark hair, but will leave your hair beautifully shiny and soft.

When I first bought this I didn't like it. It must be used on wet hair for best results. I am generally heavy handed but it didn't leave my hair greasy though I may have used a bit more than needed. I had well defined curls and my hair felt silky. If your hair is not wet when being used it can actually cause the extreme opposite and make hair feel dry and rough. It is similar to kinky curly knot today but contains water. For this price I think it is worth it. Will repurchase from this seller too as delivery was prompt and as I said it's a reasonable price.

The formula looks as though it’s ch shed however it doesn’t not say this on the bottle which is disappointing as it should be disclosed so customers can make an informed choice… not happy with Shea moisture!

Wow! I got this yesterday and I am beyond impressed. Natural 4C hair has met it's match. This is the stuff! Wow! Wow! Wow! It makes hair soft, manageable and you don't need a lot of it either so although it is costly it should last a good while. I love it! It does not have a strong scent at all, in fact it hardly smells of anything. This is a 10 star product.

This just arrived and I ran a tiny amount through my daughter's dry 3b/c hair. Yes, as other reviewers say, it was white while applying but soon absorbed in.She's only 5 and we have a tough time taming her unruly locks, there are often tears in the shower when we comb out the knots in her hair. But this was amazing. Absolutely incredible. She just picked up her comb and started brushing it through her hair with minimal tugging.I can't begin to describe how happy she was being able to comb her hair all by herself for the first time.We'll see how things go but this stuff is game changing if you have small kids with wayward curls!
