I don't usually write reviews but today I will make an exception! After rave reviews about this "high quality" rucksack I thought I'd take the plunge and get this for my daughter for when she returns back to school. I have been lead to believe that this awesome rucksack could potentially last year's as it's rugged and made with exceptional quality and has been built on years of testing, but wow, was I wrong to believe this.. When this arrived I was dubious about it's longevity, yes the rucksack looked nice but the material felt horrible and already had wear marks on it like it's been rubbed on something, the material does not feel premium and feels hard, stiff and very cheap! Is this the real deal? I'm not sure, everything seems to be authentic, but just doesn't feel right. A few days of light use at school and it already looked as if my daughter had it for 2 years! 2 weeks later and it looks beat up, material looks worn already and wearing on the edges and everywhere there's a crease there's wear like the materials is being rubbed off, don't even try and wipe it lightly with a damp cloth else it's scrubs the material and makes it bitty. How in the world can people say they've had these for 10 plus years? My other daughter has a fake version of the laptop size one of these and that material feels much better and she has had this for 3 years and not even a mark on it and she treats it harshly!! Maybe it's just just the colour I chose, or is it? I'm not too sure what I have bought here but for some reason this rucksack will not see and term in school before it looks ratty!! Gutted. I will never buy another Kanken product ever again. I hope who ever else buys one of these that there's is of better quality then the tat that I got. What a shame it is and for the money I paid I could've used this money on something else. Good luck!!

The product is fantastic, as you’d expect, and is not my first from this brand. However, I ordered Deep Red and received Rowan Red, which is more of a burnt orange colour. Disappointing as I searched everywhere for red and this was the only place with it in stock, only to still not get the right one.

Great school bag and fits loads as well as being waterproof. Some 'marks' appeared with first use that look like colour fade, thankfully not spread any further but has left a couple patches on the bag.

The bag is so easy to use, I have put pins on it and unlike my old backpack, it didn't get ripped when I put the pins on it.The quality of the bag is amazing, I highly recommend it for anyone who goes to school. As a sixth former, the size of the bag is great, I can easily fit 2 textbooks and 3 exercise books plus my pencil case.Highly recommend purchasing the bag.

I bought this after purchasing a much bigger Fjallraven backpack - I'm very pleased with both, but particularly the Mini one! It's a perfect size for what I want to bring to work every day - purse, phone, lunchbox, book, shopping bag and whatever extras I need in the front pouch. The "frost-green" colour is a little duller than previewed for me, but the "peach-pink" straps are very vibrant as previewed. I found the straps tricky to adjust, although I figured them out in the end (and as I discovered afterwards, you do get a little instruction manual on how to do this with the bag). The bag also comes with a foam mat as padding for your back, so please don't discard this accidentally if you purchase a Fjallraven backpack.Very happy with this purchase, and I look forward to spending a long time with this bag.

Save for some minor hiccups upon delivery, this backpack is looking to become one of my favourites. I have a Hershcel backpack that I carry to college every day but the thing that irked me the most was its lack of pockets. I was really surprised to find that this backpack came with not only a compartment to slide my Macbook in within the bag itself but two side pockets to tuck in a water bottle or an umbrella, something which I hadn't noticed when I first ordered it here. My only minor issue is how small the front pocket is though which limits the amount of things I can keep inside. Overall, this bag isn't just aesthetically pleasing, it's exceptionally handy (it comes with a reflector too!) too and does a good job for a college student like me.

It comes as expected but there are moulds over the surface of the bag. I brushed it but moulds are still there...I am afraid I will be itchy or have allergic reaction to this. Otherwise it is good...for durability and water resistance, I have no doubt...I just doubt it is stored for a very long time.

Daughter really likes the bag ordered a blue one but got the black one at the cheaper price, not worried by that at all
