Lovely pen
I like Lamy pens. They are so good to use and this is yet another Lamy pen that I am happy with. Good value for money

Writes beautifully!
Lamy italic knib pens write so well. Great definition from the knib. Sit very well in the hand.I personally don’t believe you need to buy anything more expensive. I’ve tried the cheaper ones too… just not as good!

Great pen once conquered....
This is a well-priced calligraphic pen - with which I had enormous difficulties at the outset and nearly snapped it in two. It just didn't write, until I removed the nib, and washed it and the barrel in dish soap and water - I had to soak it for two days (found the hints online, so this isn't a new problem). NOW, it works very well - but it was a bit of a palaver to go through that.I would suggest you buy the Lamy ink converter rather than stick with the cartridges - the converter seemed to help improve ink-flow (once the pen has been cleaned). If I bought another Lamy pen, I'd take it to bits and soak the parts in liquid soap and water before even trying to use it with the cartridges. Incidentally, the cartridges are almost impossible to force into the nib section all the way: pushing it in as far as you can, and then screwing the barrel back into the nib section forces the cartridges into place, after which - all being well - it'll write.

Good calligraphy pen
After the demise of the Rotring Art Pen I couldn't find anything as good until I tried this one and it is a smooth writing pen. It comes with blue cartridges so if you use black, as I do, remember to order black ones.

Works very well
Works very well once I remembered how to hold the pen.

Just buy a safari with a calligraphy nib
Looks very arty. But all it is, is a long quill-looking pen. It takes the same nibs as the safari and AL. You can buy a safari and order it with a 1.1, 1.5 or 1.7 nib from reputable suppliers elsewhere. Save your money.
