How long do the cones stay crunchy?

The few that remained after the party were crunchy two days later. I have no idea if they would remain crunchy longer as they don't usually stay around very long!

The description claims that it bakes 24 ice cream cone cupcakes but the photos show a capacity of 12. Which is it?

It only fits 12. But i absolutely love mine. It stores so well. Joy cones also makes a cone holder for baking and traveling which bakes 14 at a time. I have 2 of those and ordered them thru the company JOY cones.

Would this work for pastry bags?

Do you mean to stand up filled pastry bags? Probably...the holes are kind of close together, but if the bags weren't too full I think it could work.

I want to make cone smores, how would they work over a campfire?

I've made them over a fire. Put Chocolate, marshmellows in a cone, wrap in tin foil put over campfire turning till it melts{few minutes. can use any kind of chips or hersheys chocolate. any kind of syrup can be put on top, sprinkles cherries. Have fun and enjoy.

Good cone holder..

Good product....the legs are a bit tricky in that if you move them intuitively they could collapse on you. I didnt bake with it i just used it as a stand so dont know how well it fairs in the oven.
