The steering coupler is an aftermarket replacement that fits extremely well in place of an OEM part.OEM part has a solid center while this part has a hole in the center. This does not affect the fit or operation.I used this part in a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe v-6 FWD Auto trans when the original failed at 127k miles.Accessing this part to replace it requires dropping or removing the steering column and separating the motor from the steering column. Once the electric motor is separated, Removal of the old part and replacement of the new part is extremely easy. Be sure to remove any debris and clean the area of contact extremely well.

Working as advertised. If you haven't done this job, be sure you watch the correct YouTube videos. There are differences in the steering column mounting at the back where it's difficult to see. This part goes in easily, took maybe 10 seconds to get the motor teeth aligned, then good to go. You need a plastic, body panel pry bar, a long phillips screwdriver, 10, 12 and 14mm sockets, a T30 Torx. A few bucks for this part, the dealer wanted $500 for the repair.
