This is a nice product. Easy to apply and unlike other gesso, this one dries leaving a nice smooth texture.

Best I’ve tried so far! Very smooth touch especially after using Windsor and Newton which is like sandpaper! Think this will be my go to clear gesso from now on.

Used it to stop maker bled though ......however should of mixed tiny amount of Aqua, as thick Great for stopping maker bleed though and Aqua color paints

A vast improvement on the heavy-grainy finish with the Windsor & Newton brand.However, in order to protect the Bible-pages from bleed-through, a generous quantity needs to be applied 2-3+ times [allowing to dry between each extra layer].This results in an 'unpleasant High-Sheen finish' to your pages/work, that paint frequently seems to 'run off'.

This is brilliant and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Easy to use and a great finish .

I am using Gesso to stop the colour bleeding through the paper I am working on and it is very successful even where the paper is very thin. It is easy to paint on smoothly and dries clear. While I am journalling it does not appear to make the pages of the book thicker, which I had wondered about. Gesso is working well for the purpose I bought it.

A beautiful smooth finish that dries crystal clear unlike other brands (Winsor & Newton dries like sandpaper / Ghiant Water-Based Gesso dries to a milky finish).I use over over ink drawings (on 300gsm card) before colouring to give bright even colours whereas 'ink' on untreated card / paper is dull, soaks in and yields uneven colour.Untreated card/paper requires more ink (pens run out faster) and on thinner papers the ink simply bleeds through . . .Prima Marketing Gesso is an excellent 'base' for Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens & Pigma Micron pens . . . perfect for Bible Illustrating / Journaling!
