An old remedy that works.
Calamine lotion has been around for years and years and still works efficiently, often when creams for skin irritation do not help as claimed. Definitely recommend.

Good lotion - cream version better
The lotion works, but you need cotton wool to apply and it dries on the wool VERY quickly. This means you use alot in a short space of time. The cream version is much better and the cream pot lasts longer. At a choice, buy the cream version of this. Both do stop the itching - ideal for heat rash or allergy rash

smoothes awat the pain of stinging nettles
We had a infestation in our disused Chicken run of Stinging Nettles. Even though I was wearing coveralls, glove and face mask I was still geting stung. I remembered as a kid whenvI got stung by stinging nettles that my mum used to swab the area of infection with calamine lotion. I found that this Calimine lotion to be very smoothing.
