Typically, this would form part of Revell's 'Gift Set' or 'Model Set' line-up. There is a Model Set version of this kit (65408) that includes Contacta Professional glue, a paintbrush and a selection of the main colours required from our 'Aqua Color' acrylic paint range.

What paint and glue do you have to buy for the model.

Paint recommendations are given in the kit's instruction manual: https://downloads.revell.de/Manuals-Modelkits/05408_%23BAU_HMS_VICTORY_2017.PDF For glue, you need one that glues styrene plastics. We recommend our Contacta Professional (29604/39604/39608) - all basically the same product in different packaging/volumes.

Are the sails plastic?

Yes but with a bit of creative painting look good. You can also search for "hop up" parts some craft shops in the US and europe do cloth sails and lots of other parts you can swap out but of course they cost. Summary. Its a great kit.
