Goku's epic journey begins here! Goku may be small, but this fearless warrior packs a punch as powerful as any on the planet. Left alone after his grandfather's death, this unusual boy is happy to spend his days hunting and eating and eating some more. But everything changes on the day he meets Bulma - a bossy, blue-haired beauty with boys on the brain. Together, they set out to track down the seven magic Dragon Balls and make the wish that will change their lives forever. And that's just the beginning! Goku also spends some time on Turtle Island where he and Krillin study martial arts under the legendary Master Roshi. The old hermit may not look like much, but if his new pupils can find him a woman, he'll make sure they're ready to rumble at the upcoming World Martial Arts Tournament! This epic box set contains the Emperor Pilaf Saga and First World Martial Arts Championship Saga.

Much loved present!
I bought this as a gift for my partner (who is a big Dragonball fan), and he loved it!It’s old picture quality something we both personally loved as it was very nostalgic; the image is great quality! The intro plays in Japanese dub but the episode plays in English dub so no pesky subtitles if you prefer listening to English audio!Would defo recommend for any fan!

Love the show
Love the show, and these are a great load of episodes. Love that unlike the dragonball z boxsets this has the original tv dub, as in the dbz boxsets the voices and dialogue is ever so slightly different, and doesn't have an option to have the ocean dub during the saiyan saga, and has some different music up to the end of the namek saga when bruce falconer's music is used. Where as this dvd only has an option for the original tv dub and the Japanese dub. Also love how many episodes you get, though as I have only bought dbz boxsets previously, I think this has a lot to do with dragonball's pacing compared to dragonball z's. So extremely happy with this, just a pity the dbz boxsets don't come with the original tv dubs too.

Nostalgia overload!
I love this series! I have watched the entire series online 4 times in 5 months due to addiction. I'd watched it many times before but for some reason it hit me most then. I have to say though that the Emperor Pilaf saga is my least favorite saga. I like it and it is important as it introduces important characters. But the problem with it is that it's outmatched by the later sagas. Especially the King Piccolo saga which is my favorite. But the tournament saga is on here too and it is a lot of fun. A lot of people have problems with these box sets as it has incomplete features compared to other versions but i give it full marks because it's how i wanted it anyway.I recommend it highly

Ka’me’ha’me’ha!
One of the disks were loose inside, but all of the disks were there and not damaged. I’ve watched all of Dragon Ball before, so being able to own it physically on disk is amazing :D

A Treat!
I used to watch DBZ as a child and totally missed the original DB saga. I have now watched through season 1 - 5 and going by memory I can honestly say DB is superior. The stories, characters, everything is so loveable and you will be addicted! Highly recommended.I am not sure about the quality of the English dub over but imo watching it with the original Japanese audio is the best way!
