Q: I am looking to move a piano that we think weighs about 400kg. We plan to make a dolly for this and use two wheels each end. Will these wheels cope?

Please be careful. I have a double hernia, and have moved loads of pianos. You never think its gonna happen, but it does. Hernia Op, £3,000. Piano mover, £250. ( depending on steps/stairs)

sorry, but I don't know. they are very well made and packed, but they have been fitted to workshop equipment, which cannot be turned over for examination.

Q: can these be used for permanent outdoor use? I want them for a really large planter box so they will be outside all the time.

Ive used them for two years outside with no problems. If youre worried about rustybearing showing then you could always make a skirt to fit around the planter. My castors are only showing minimal rust so far though. Hope this helps :-)

Q: What size are the bolting holes for 100mm castors?

I secured mine with no 8 wood screws
