perfect replacement
Item arrived in a box with perfect packaging. It also arrived ahead of schedule. This item is a replacement for the bulb in my Bluemax lamp. The previous bulb had lasted for years, so I was not sure whether to order the lower wattage or higher wattage fluorescent option. As it turned out, I replaced the lower wattage one with a higher version. I like it even more when I use it as a reading lamp in the morning. In the winter months it will be used on a lower setting (the lamp is adjustable) for SAD purposes. Installation was easy.

BEST BULBS
Blue Max is far superior to Ott Lite. I was so happy to find these bulbs as I have two of these table lamps and one is a floor lamp. Fantastic lighting particularly for artists (I paint and make jewelry) and those who need full spectrum lighting for other reasons. Great store. Will definitely buy again from this shop.

Bought in July and used Several Hours each Week. Hopefully just a WEAK Gas Charge in this Last Bulb.

Bright
I got this light when my mother in-law passed and have using it for 12 years bulb was getting black an finally gave out found Blue Max 70 watt full spectrum on Amazon and it is really bright didn’t know what I was missing.

Blue Max surpasses every other light available
I bought my Blue Max lights -- five of them -- a decade ago. They are FABULOUS!! The bulbs last forever. This is only the second one I've had to buy in ten years!

Broken
Don’t buy this. While installing this bulb it broke. The glass was so thin that while plugging in prongs the bulb shattered in two places. After cost of bulb and taxes I wasted 40+ dollars. I ordered it before the old bulb burned out so I had it 3 months and couldn’t return it when it broke. I just purchased a different lamp with less expensive replacement bulbs.

Hard to Find
With bulb and lighting stores going out of business, these replacement bulbs are hard to find.Shipment was fast and it was reasonably priced.

It works
I have an early model of a BlueMax lamp. Mine is a floor stand version. It does not have any markings on it indicating the specific model. I ordered this particular bulb and I removed the old bulb bracket. It was a tight fit but this bulb pushed into place. The housing rim is the support. I have run it for several hours. This bulb puts out a ton of light and it can be dimmed to a degree. If it will just last. I don't think the original bulb lasted 6 months.
