Let’s get to catching
This is an excellent reel! Smooth and ANYTHING that hits the bait can be retrieved without trouble.

This is the worst reel I've ever purchased
The reel is nice looking, but when you start with only the best recycled aluminum pots and pans as your materials, it's not going to turn out well. I used this reel a few times in early 2024 on a slow pitch rod and for a short while it worked okay - not great, but passable. Like all my gear, it was flushed promptly ever time it was used. Soon it started to freeze up, the drag system began to impede the incoming line - it worked against the fisherman as well as the fish and it felt like some of the gears were starting to fail. It's impossible to service since all the hardware is such soft metal even if you do get it apart, there's no chance at a proper re-assembly. Junk, junk, junk.My biggest issue now is getting the 50lb Suffix 832 off because it's worth way more than the reel. Soon as that's done, it's going in the trash heap.Do yourself a favor - don't even consider this reel. Spend a few extra bucks on something decent from Diawa, Abu or Shimano and save yourself a lot of frustration and money.

A good reel so far
As an avid angler who utilizes an original wiki violent slow jigging reel, the basis for this design, I can provide insights into its performance.I employed a 50lb braid (capable of holding approximately 350M) and the reel performed exceptionally well. Notably, it came in a specialized bag that I believe is not specifically designed for this reel. The drag performance was as anticipated, exhibiting excellent capabilities for its size.I have only used the reel on one trip thus far, and it has proven to be reliable and effective. It has successfully caught blue runners, jacks, and reef fishes. In my opinion, the reel offers excellent value for money. I will continue to use it and update my review after additional trips. If it continues to perform as well, I will consider it a worthwhile investment.

Pleasantly surprised!
I have been using heavily this reel since November 2021 and so far I had absolutely no issues landing hundreds of pounds of ocean fish up here in NY. I paired it with a Shimano Trevala and it has now become my rig of choice for bottom fishing. I prefer this reel over my much more expensive Avet XS series as it is smoother and simpler but stronger to use. I Will soon buy another for my Florida setup.

Not what I hoped for but OK.
Let's start with I returned it. I already had a Gomexus EX300 jigging reel. The Topline 300: larger than the EX300, handle shaft too short, I didn't like the pegs for rod clamp attachment on bottom of the reel. I was not going to use the rod clamp as it gets in the way when holding reel in Palm while fishing. So I guess the Topline 300 reel is ok depending on what you plan to use it for but it wasn't to my liking. I preferred the Gomexus myself.

Drag not as advertised.
Bought this reel for 120 lb braid grouper winch. supposed to have 66 lb of drag, might have 8 lb. tried to contact company with no success. do not buy if looking for heavy drag reel
