I have a little 14 year old Shih tzu that needs to take medication for a heart murmur and I needed something that would be a good way for me to have him take his medicine. I ran across this product and decided to get it and give it a try. Like any new "treat" he wasn't too sure about it and it took a couple of tries. He can be pretty picky when it comes to new treats. Now, however, he waits patiently for me to get his dose ready and he gobbles it down without hesitation. The product is so easy to use and he enjoys taking his medication inside this tasty treat. I'm planning on getting it again and highly recommend this product for anyone who has a pet that requires regular medication disbursement.Also, for the price, it's actually pretty inexpensive compared to other medication disbursement methods.Since it's a paste- like substance, it's easy to envelope the pill and shape it to whatever size you need. If it's a small pill, like the size my Shih tzu takes, you don't need that much. A pinch is plenty big enough.Another plus is that it's soft enough that, if your pet has a challenging time chewing, it's soft enough for them to handle.Again, highly recommended.

My senior dog with cancer takes a lot of medicine so I am grateful to have this. He takes his medicine like a champ. He loves peanut butter so that's a plus. If your pet doesn't like the medicine they need, don't fight with them. They will love their new "snack". I shared this with the veterinarian and she said she would get some for her own dog.

But with these, she takes her medicine without a second thought, she things it's a treat!The texture is soft and easy to mold around different pill sizes, and they don't crumble or dry out quickly. They also don't have a strong smell to me, but clearly have enough flavor to foot my dog. I love how convenient they are, no more wrapping pills in cheese or peanut butter and hoping for the best.Highly recommend if you've got a stubborn pup when it comes to medicine time. This WORKS! My dog is in pain. I put him in a wraps for security, for him to feel safe, yet it was a challenge to get him to take prescribed medicine. This wraps each pill. Now he takes all his pills with no fuss. There are different sized pills and it covers them regardless of size.

I'm used to pill pocket, so I was surprised to see what looks like dark putty in the can. This is easier to handle, less wasteful, and has a better consistency than the pill pockets. Hopefully, it won't harden over time. Apparently, it tastes good, too.

could not get my dog to take her pills until i tried this product. Works like a charm, she cant wait to eat it. Pill pockets are a total waste compared to this. Easy to use, perfect for my incredibly picky and difficult 17 year old dog.

Love this stuff, and so do my dogs! Some of my dogs are more picky with certain pills and won't take them alone. I can wrap them up in this stuff and that solves the problem... most of the time. Every now and then they decide to gum around the pill in their mouth, get the paste off the pill, then spit the pill back out. Usually happens if I didn't grab a good bit of the paste to completely wrap the pill. A second attempt with the appropriate amount of pill wrap will do the trick.My oldest suddenly started refusing his cardiac support pill that he had taken for years. After messing with squeeze cheese and actual peanut butter - very messy - I found this. Same idea but the texture makes it zero mess. Once I started using the pill wrap, he'd sit nicely to ask for me to hand him the wrapped pill! He got this around his cardiac pill every single day and never had digestive trouble. Also never had him change his mind that he didn't like the flavor anymore!This pill wrap has made it so much easier for me to give my dogs everything they need. It's soft and pliable, really easy to form around anything. The zero-mess means I can put a smaller chunk into a little plastic container to take traveling with ease. I've used it for hard pills and gelatin-type caplets and it sticks to both. The price is great, too - way more affordable than trying to buy pre-made pockets!
