Sturdy, though tight
Have yet to use these. A lot of people say these aren't stretchy enough and feel a little too tight. I encountered the same issue (I'm 6'2 and weigh 200 lbs). The solution I came up with was to take a seam ripper and remove the top piece of inner black elastic. Took some time, but made them way more comfortable. They seem sturdy and trustworthy. Looking forward to using them on my next hike on the Allegheny trail in WV where timber rattle snakes are very prevalent.

Well made but might be too small for larger people
I'm petite so these work, they're extremely effective, especially if you're concerned about ticks.I am a petite woman and they are tight over pants, so my only caution would be if you have thick legs or large calves, they might be too small

Well built, good front clip and solid zipper, needs refinement
Overall, I'm pleased with the product, but the under-boot strap buckles leave room for improvement. The small holes make them challenging to use, especially when wearing gloves. I even had to create an additional hole to achieve a snug fit. Implementing a flat Velcro system on the inner side could provide a more user-friendly approach to adjustments.

Proceed with Caution
Wore these on a 3 day hunting trip in south Texas and really tested the durability of these. They kept 99% of thorns/cactus out. They did a pretty good job with brush. That being said, in three days of wearing them, I probably had 5 cactus and dog pear (look them up if you don’t know what they are) come through and pierce skin. I wouldn’t not trust them against a snake. I did not get bit but if dog pear can stick through, I would bet a fang would too.

Feel safer
Every year I see at least 1 copperhead. And I had to struggle to keep my dog from attacking them. That dog passed and Im not doing serious hiking with a chihuahua. And now rattlesnakes are in certain areas where they never have been before (at least the adults warn you.) And on all the local Hudson Valley sites people post snake photos daily. There is like no cell phone reception in these areas. I'd die trying to get out. So, I can't say they saved my life for I haven't tested them out by experience but they are pretty damn sturdy and I can have some peace of mind. If I do have a snake attempt to bite me I will update.
