it's got a gap in the ring.. so yes, it's adjustable

Q: Will it hurt to get the ring wet?

The ring may turn your hand green or black as will other metals who have copper in their alloy whether your hand is wet or not. Just the nature of the metal. Washing with it on or off will help keep it clean and also will wash away the green or black on your hand. Gently adjust the ring to your size and then leave it alone. All metal and/or soldered on pieces will break or pop off if one keeps adjusting or bending the metal. Enjoy and wear it.

Just don't get confused, is not white gold. I will add some info for you to read, I loved the ring though, I bought it for my mom, unfortunately it was too big for her, but she insisted on keeping it and have it sized.The white metals are any of several light-colored alloys used as a base for plated silverware, ornaments or novelties, as well as any of several lead-based or tin-based alloys used for things like bearings, jewellery, miniature figures, fusible plugs, some medals and metal type.Some of the metals that make up a white metal alloy are antimony, tin, lead, cadmium, bismuth, and zinc. Not all of these metals are found in all white metal alloys but are mixed to achieve a desired goal or need. As an example, a base metal for jewelry needs to be castable, polishable, have good flow characteristics, have the ability to cast fine detail without an excessive amount of porosity and cast at between 230 °C and 300 °C (450 °F and 575 °F).

The ring is open ended, so it is adjustable to fit by squeezing it together. I am a size 8, and I make it fit by squeezing it until the ends meet. I think it might be too large for you.
